Well, having studied (albeit introductory courses) economics, it's quite clear to me that right wing economics are the only way to go. I've also got anecdotal evidence of it, being a right wing province surrounded by left wing provinces, and we've been far more successful economically.

Socially, I'm liberal. I'm all for gay marriage, legalization of marijuana, abolition of "affirmative action", etc.

Floyd doesn't seem to understand that there should still be limits in personal freedoms. If we let everybody do whatever they wanted like he proposes we'd have a system of anarchy.

Hell, the boy lives off his dad's welfare himself, but he's against welfare. I don't think he understands that not everyone has daddy paying their way through life.

I support social welfare, and even the option of public health care (I believe people should be allowed to pay for their own private, or use a good public system), etc.

what are the decisions that you make? what shampoo do you want to buy? well, you will have it. the arguement about great power and wealth of the elite sounds extremely silly when coming from the mouth of a free-trader, with the top ten 10% of people in the US , owning around 80% of the country's economy.

I believe he's referring to how every communist state in existence has had a much smaller elite, but share much more power at the expense of the little guys, who get to share the leftovers.

It's kinda like capitalism, but it's far far harder to become a member of the communist parties than it is to make your own business.
