With all the security mess around here I never had the chance to form an opinion about the economy stuff.

That's the theory. It does look different in reality.

Communism was a pretext for dicatorships all around the world.

Capitalism is often sided with a social market economy in Europe (Sweden, Germany, that's about it actually ) and for some reason, capitalist countries are mostly democratic. Or fascist.

Communism rounds everybody down to the lowest common denominator, except the leadership. Reduces peoples options in life. The ultimate nanny state (or big brother), and it usually comes into being over the dead bodies of millions.

Capitalism works for the country its hosted in, up to a point. Certainly the greed factor detracts alot but the sword is double edged and many of the high sided have quickly found their way back to the general population. Its made alot of things possible including this. And can be a means by which ANYONE can do ANYTHING. It has its faults but it has worked alot better then communism ever has or even looked like it might.

Fascist - same as communist - this is my idea now its your as well.

Anarchy - is a non-existent state that if you take into account social norms and latent assumptions can never exist. The strongest policeman is in your head. Humans are socially dependant creatures that cannot survive without the group. So just not possible.

planned economies are better because they have the potential to be more efficient with the growth of technology.

communism in particular is a system that ensures that everyone will get an equal chance.

oh, and remember this , anarchists are loony . They want mobs of people to burn down your house and take everything in it .

Actually it doesn`t. The only equality is that it teachs paranoia by the state against the people. The only equality that it has every actually delivered to the people is that they have all the same powers in election of their leaders - None.

Anyway, if we have a ratings scale like this:

1: Pure capitalism, Libertopia

...

5: Mixed economy, with capitalist and socialist elements

...

9: Pure communism

...then best alternative would be somewhere around 4. Anything under 3 or over 7, and that strings section from Peter and the Wolf that starts playing in my head every time I hear something particularily utopian, well, starts playing, and I know that system's not gonna work.

Unfortunately capitalism is the best we can do for now. Competition is good, but cooperation is better. As long as it isnt forced cooperation that is (ie communism).

If you dont know what to support, just go with common sense.

In (my) communism you'll still be able to have the same choices in your pesonal life. You'll also elect leaders that will in your opinion suit best in making things work better , buttering up the system. You will be able to voice concern over the system , and point out to flaws that would be fixed, but just like in every other country, If you don't like the rules, it's your problem. Free press, not controlled by either government or private property, but another branch of the government , like the court system .Insentives and bonuses, etc., etc. etc. Competition over consumer products. ask me about what I think the perfect government would be like.

you're so full of ****. I've lived in the soviet union, and many things WERE ****ed up there. noone was forced to wear the same clothes, and be sad , or something. you're full of ****. Eli knows that things weren't bad in the SU, as everyone portrays.
