Whenever I try to click the button that says "Internet" in the multiplayer options menu, my computer just brings up a dialog box saying:
"You need to dialup to use internet"
First of all, I don't have a dialup connection, so what is this message supposed to mean to me?
Second of all, I have a modem, but my computer isn't even configured to use it.
Its there some setting that I need to set in order for it recognize my LAN internet connection? Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Note: Internet connection is a DSL Shared Windows XP Connection, and the windows XP Computer that I am on is not the one that the internet is connected to.

Sounds tough...
Have you tried to install CtP on the PC where the DSL is connect to?

Yeah, I just tried it on my other machine, and I still get the same problem. Could it be a problem with ports or something?

Logical ports or physical ports?
I don't think there is a problem with the later.
Check these:
1) If there is any firewall activated in your network/PCs. Windows XP do have a firewall on their own.
2) If you can connect to the internet at all (I guess it does).
3) If the file "server.dat", located in the CtP installation folder exists (though I doubt if that has to do anything with your problem because normally it is automatically created when you connect CtP to the Internet).
4) If you have 1.2 Update installed.

Thanks, Darth Viper
It appears that in order to get CTP to work online with Windows XP or any other WAN Based internet connection, that you need to go into your internet settings and tell the lan to auto detect internet settings.
Thanks for your help.
