Uhhmmm, that'll be to stop nasty people trashing your machine ..............ask war4..................people really need to get ahold of the fact that these days with always on connections and static IPs you need good firewalling, or a flexible OS and enough expertise to secure it.

but i already have a firewall on my comp, and my connection isn't always on (although it might as well be) and my IP isn't static... not sure why Verizon doesn't provide static IPs for DSL but whatever... and if my router came with a firewall installed do i still need the one on my comp? better safe than sorry i guess... not like i have anything terribly important on this comp

Ditch the software firewall if you have one built in to the router. Seriously, learning how to configure port redirection will take you no time at all with most routers I've seen, especially if you already have experience with letting info sent on certain ports through your software firewall.

I am planning to leave work early to start rolling the dice by 4, so there is a chance if we lose our shorts early, I can still make it to Ming's. But I figure the earliest I'll get to Ming's is 8:00 central, but it will probably be later. Don't wait for me, but if anyone is around a little later, maybe I can still snag a game.

Not that I wish this on you... but if things are going bad early... you can always give me a call, and I can start a game for you. Since most of the time, we don't actually start playing our board games before 9... I could get you started and you could take over when you get here.

2. press print screen key at the point you want to make a screen shot

3. paste image into aforementioned graphics program

4. save as .jpg

5. attach to post
