I just got invited to golf today. 2:29 tee time so I will be delayed a hair tonight. Should finish 6:30-7:00 then half an hour or 45 minutes to get home.

We have most of her family coming in... and it would have been tough sitting here playing civ while everybody else cleaned... Even staying up late last night, I'm still cleaning today. But once they get here, no more cleaning

i am up for a later game tonite...lol

and remember lads...it was only close b/c i gave up two great starts to play a fair one

but Ming you did play your land right and Rah....what happened to you bro

my actual land was awesome....too many silks , like thats a problem...but every direction from my capital was down an isthmus

oh well i ended with 20 cities and didn't have any wonders other than colosus..but i did get philo and we all had monarchy at the same time...

I didn't build on the gold until one turn away from monarchy... that's what got it for me at the same time as you guys. I started on full screen of plains and ocean... wandered north for the pattern... and while it was a dead end, I found silk on a river after you guys had already placed your two cities down. I then bailed on a river dot next to some forests for the second city.

The only thing that saved me was I didn't get any techs from huts early, and got a free city on a river near a buffalo early... otherwise I was toast. Not that I'm in such great shape now. I'm getting killed on the techs.

While Rah was behind on the powergraph, he had leo's and was probably heading to musketts

I'd even go 2x1x if it got the game going but at least 6 players please:
