Still no info on why it took so many fire stations to be involved, unless they were just bored and wanted to be doing something. No info on why it was dangerous. The fact that the river was 3 ft below flood stage tells me nothing when I just would have hauled the damn ropes up.

I can't find the article from yesterday about what it took to get them down. I believe they tried hauling up the ropes but the protesters just kept letting more rope out and were about to fall in the river, so they had to send out a boat.

You know, I think I would have let them kill themselves for the movement. I mean, I solildarize with their cause, but if letting out the rope until you fall into a swollen river is your thing, I'm not gonna stop you.

Yeah, I know, authorities have to stop people from killing themselves. Were they threatening to drop themselves into the river?
