It was in Cheddar, England. DNA testing revealed that Adrian Targett, a man who lived a quarter of a mile from where "Cheddar Man" was found, was a direct descendant.

Defenestration means "to throw out of window". Presumably, the officials in question died from being thrown out of said windows.

It happened in ~1618, at the start of the Thirty Years War. And, strangely enough, being thrown out the window didn't kill them. Guess why?

This is the closest to correct. The window was high enough, and they were still alive when they were thrown out the window.

The people who did the throwing said essentially "Let's see if your God will save you" as they threw them out. As it happened, they landed in a large pile of horse manure, and escaped from there.

Holy crap. I can only remember the year, 1809. Alexander the II was the first czar to rule Finland, that I can remember.
