Lets throw in another viewpoint. While it may be argued that abortion may be prudent from an individual standpoint, what does it say about a society that not only tolerates it under specific circumstances but also accepts it under more general circumstances?

If you guys, and let's face it, its basically guys debating this here and none of you are going to have a little guest in your tummy have a look at a video called the Joy Luck Club.

Its about 4 Chinese women who migrated to the United States from China at the time the communists took over. It tells their life stories. 2 of those women lost babies in ways I won't go into here but if you aren't moved by this film and perhaps see all this in a bit of a different way then you are made of stone.

The Bible appears to endorse the use of an abortifacient for a woman suspected of being unfaithful:

If the unfaithful woman was pregnant, what would a poison which causes "thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell" do to the fetus?
