To tell the truth I like the idea of a longboat but.............. I dont feel its workable with the current game systems. I think the idea of an amphibious swordsmen by some odd name ( i dont care if you call it the fluffy pink thingy!) is probably the best idea for the situation. Besides its the epidemy of what they did militarily.

well, why should it only be able to transport that unit? The Vikings were merchants and a lot of them immigrated (yes, by boat) to England, Ireland, France, Iceland, Greenland, Russia plus more. So I don't see your point panag.

well it should be a ship that should only transport 3 or 4 of those famous raiders , ....if they want to transport other units they should stay with the regular tech tree , ...
their special transport should also be able to move ocer sea units from the start , so they should get far on that , ...

After looking at the new screenshots @ Avault, it seems to be clear that the Berserk's bonus is the marine ability, since one of the shots shows a Berserk attacking Yakutsk directly from aboard a Galley. What unit it replaces is still unclear.
