Poland and the low countries didn't really surrender, just overrun incredibly fast. You see old war movies of the great Polish calvary charging at Panzers. That is not laying down and surrendering.

The French surrendered to the Germans in the Franco-prussian war.

When it comes to fighting germany, they're 0-1-2.

The germans came very close to making the frogs surrender in wwI, but the Limeys were callous enough to sve them. Then, 3 years later, we came in fresh and the Germans soiled themselves.

and Greece, and Yugoslavia, although these were probably more of a challenge than Albania or the Abessinian horsemen (armed with spears). but then, still no match for a great power, which Italy obviously wasn't

They surrendered in Vietnam in the 50's. When did the French get nukes?
