If their bodies are found, and the culprit(s) caught, I can think of no punishment strong enough for them. Even being put in a hard prison (for life without possibility f parole) where the inmates will make them pay severely, will not be enough.

People who do this are sick ****s, and we need to put much more effort into understanding what makes these people so mentally ill, to help prevent such actions in future.

The problem the courts have had with locking people up without being released was the fact that it was politicians deciding the sentence not a judge.

Also the European Court of Human Rights who rule on these sought of cases is sperate to the EU

I posted it last night when the site had just been found and everyone expected the worse.

I'd imagine the girls were still abducted, still raped, and still murdered. I hope I am wrong though.

Not finding the bodies is a blessing, but in the long term I'd imagine their parents would want to know for certain the fate of their children, no matter how grim.

DD: I assume that there are EU regulations for prisons, but the conditions vary widely over the EU. The general trend is that the more south you get, the worse the prisons become. Although even the Greek and Portuguese prisons supposedly are comfortable when compared to Eastern Europe, Morocco or Turkey.
