This is getting us nowhere.... Perhaps we should consider using a "proven" fast start. No offence intended, I found the map wonderful, and am disapointed that it is not working out, but we've been mucking around here for ages, and it's just not working...

I have one more suggestion to make before droping this problematic scenario. To play bilhq's turn some one else and his turn bilhq. If this works then we are ok otherwise I suggest to start a plain PBEM (if we had from the begining we might had an "accelerated" game going already) or try out Stavros suggestion to use a proven accelarated game.

Keygen, I repeat, I really liked this map and the players are excellent too, send me the map and I will modify it a tiny bit, send it out again to have you guys look over it and once you approve, I will launch the game. It will be the same thing with maybe 1 more river tile added to each civ, thats about it.
Come on Keygen, I was really looking forward to this game, you did a great job with the map, lets not abandon it.
Send me the original map file, and I will try to launch it. Worst case scenario that it doesn't work, I will modify it so that I am in the player number of Billhq, and he is player number 1. That way I will play the civ that is causing all the problems, and since I am the host the chance of problem to me is minimal.

Okay.. Heres the latest
Keygen emailed me the Fixed Diplomatic game scenario and I proceeded to create my own scenario by using it as a base map. I have made the following changes to it,
1) An extra river tile close to each civs capital city.
2) An extra ruby trade item in the mountians near the capital city of the civ. (ie, what is taken to be your land.
===
The order of each of the players has stayed the same civs have stayed the same.
==
I started a test PBEM game and I played everyone's turn zero to see that they were all functioning correctly, and then emailed bilhq hist turn number 1. So that he can open and play just his own turn and see what happens.
If he is able to play it correctly I will create a new game with the exact same setup and we will setup a new thread and launch the game, if he has trouble, I will switch positions with him. ie. Player 1 will be made bilhq's civ, and placed in the same place he is in now, and My civ will be in the slot taken by billhq's civ at the moment. That way we will be effectively switching player numbers, without changing any of the civilization position, names or characteristics.
Hopefully we wont have to do all that.
Any comments, questions? I will start the game as soon as I get confirmation from billhq that the scenario is workign fine on his computer.
Lets hope for the best.
