	Your favorite mod Suffering from ads?

What's your favorite mod? My is DyP Mod. I read PTW annoncement and i can say that DyP mod better than PTW.

I play my own mods also. For sharing such things, I believe the best way to do it is to share the documentation of it, so people can pick and choose what features suit them and there won't be any hidden "gotcha's".

1-page MS Word document. (remember, you'll have to change the filename as you download it from "attachment.php")

I know the mod with 50+ goverments. Mazohism, Totalitar-Democracy,Liberal-Anarchy, Zionism, Idiotism, ****ism, etc...
In russian version also included Демосратия.

Civ3 Latin of course.



I have my own mod were you can't build roads/rr on mountains (no resources there as well), most wonders have an added improvemtn effect (such as Great Library adding to research like a library improvment would). I also added 1 culture point to walls (if you think about it, most older cities use their walls as a torist spot these days). Changed what governments certain civs love/hate. Allowed Swordsman/UUs upgradable to Rifleman. Made Longbowman upgradable to Rifleman. Made Calvary/UUs upgradable to Tank/Panzer.

I also gave lethal land/sea bombardment settings to various artillary/sea/air units.

Plus a bunch of other stuff that I don't really feel like mentioning.

That's one of the problems right now. In order to share my mod, someone would have to replace a number of the key files, which might result in their default game screwing up. I just couldn't consider taking that chance with someone else's system. Firaxis needs to come up with a better way of letting us share our files, without altering anything else. That just can't be done at the moment.

Unless you are willing to install more then one copy of Civ3 on the same computer. That's one reason I gave up on the AvP mod I was working.

My favorite MODerator is Gramphos.
Why?
1. He always move my files to files.
2. He never close the topics (except 500+ posts)
3. His avatar looks good.
4. I wasnt banned by him.

Mine is the best mod. I've changed lots of things to suit my taste. Lots of ideas came from Player 1's mod and from some of the discussion in these Forums! The rest came after personal testing and tweaking! But I've never thought of writing all changes down (it would be to obvious here at work :chuckle: )!

Apoc - it was Kunal Shah who had a major problem with me .

Space race mod is good, but in my mod, I've just made all the spaceship parts cost 50%-100% more, and spread them over so that you need to get every Modern Age tech to finish the spaceship. The very first game I played with this change included in my mod, I was rewarded by winning the space race when Hammurabbi had 9 parts in place and his last on the way - if I hadn't grabbed the tech a few turns before him, I might well have lost.

Among other changes I got are Marines, Cruise Missiles and Paratroopers made useful (and used by AI effectively), Panzer strenghtened up and such stuff.
