	Should we upgrade our remaining warriors Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

This poll is for the warriors that are and will be soon in the cities of BHQ,Termina, and Apolyton. A total of 4(including the warrior being built in timeline). Cost is 160.
Since I am not elected and this is a large issue, I put it before the people. This poll will determine if I request all warriors be upgraded during tomorrows turnthread.

No, I didn't suggest we upgrade the Timeline warrior. 3 warriors are enough for an effective quick response force against the Persians or the Germans (see my War Academy thread, linked to above). Cost is 120.

If we are going to upgrade I think we should upgrade the timeline one too. The are for defense in case of an attack by persia or germany. I did creat a plan using 2 of these against chartes and that is possible still. On the other hand if they are for defense these I believe will be off limits for the attack.

Sorry, I don't have the savegame open in front of me... does anyone remember how much cash we've got right now?

I like the general idea of upgrading (I'm all for upgrading all warriors everywhere, since I think they're sort of worthless now), but if it'll leave us no money to make any trades that might pop up, then I can't support the plan in full at this time...

We have 324 gold if my memory serves me right. We make 21 gold per turn, but this sum will grow during the coming round.

Ok, thanks . Then I'd support three warriors, or two, but not four as listed in the poll... as such, I've voted no. Still, two or three (or one, though I think that's not worth so much), and then my vote can be considered to be manually changed.

Aggie, 4 warriors are too much. We don't need that many warriors to defend against Persia or Germany. Please start a new poll and allow people to vote for either 3, 4 or none. And be sure to link to the relevant War Academy discussion.

Yes all four

Swordmen still have a while before they become useless, alot of nations are yet to build swordsmen and they are viable untill gunpowder kicks in.

We will soon have enough spearmen to defend all cities properly. Perhaps the swordsmen could form a RRF (rapid reaction force) or perhaps they would be better joining up with the rest of our glorious army either waywe should upgrade every last one of them.

I have come around to the upgrading side. In addition to the defense value they could be useful in the american attack. Though for the record let me ask for a mobile defense force of chariots. Earlier when I called for horsemen I had forgotten chariots upgrade to horsemen. Mobile reaction force would be best. Then the swords can go bonk some heads in america.

I think the money would be better spent rushing a temple, or some other improvement once we get put of despotism. Maybe even buying a tech.

we have to think this true very clearly , now that we are at war

we could upgrade them , now , or wait and use the money elsewhere , ...it would be smart if they would stop the persians , ...
and take a city or so

This may not work anymore - we might need all the money we can get for alliances. For those not in the know, Persia and Germany signed alliances with France against us. There is an avenue for an alliance with England against Germany, but it is costly, which might invalidate all spending.
