	Constitutional Convention Nominations Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

OK.

Here is the thread for nominations. You may throw your hat in the ring, but you are not eligible until someone nominates you and another seconds it. Finally, each candidate must acknowledge their acceptance of the nomination in this thread for it to be final.

Nominations will last 7 days from this post.

4 people are needed. If more than 4 are nominated, a poll will be held to choose those who go on to the Convention.

Those sent on will be tasked with writing a comprehensive Constitution and Code of Laws taking current and past material into account.

This will not be a responsibilty lightly taken. There is a lot of material to review and a lot of threads to digest.

I'm willing to accept the nomination, but I think that there are many better canidates here than I am, and if enough other people accept the nominations than I will probably drop out instead of taking votes away from people who, in my opinion, will probably do a better job than I can.

no offense to you all, im just too occupied for serious work right now. (got back from my first real 10 hour day of school, maybe ill have a different answer later )

i dont offer any nominations either, i dont really know how busy anyone is to justify nominating them or not.

I accept the nomination and I thank you all who nominated me. I promise I will work hard and try to conduct the convention much like I do my tech threads, by getting the best plan through without any personal bias.

I am just wondering if it is possible to nominate more than one person. I am asking because nye only nominated Togas. I will post my nominations when this question is answered and I have more time to think it over.

Apocalypse,

The Enabling Act does not limit you to nominating or seconding 1 person. So I think it's fair to do more.

I might be poor form to both nominate and second the same person though. I think that would be implicit.

In the Enabling Act, the Select Committee will consist of 4 citizens (they appeared on the Citizen list prior to the opening of this thread)

If only 4 are nominated and accept, they are it. If more than 4 are nominated and accept, then there is a multiple choice poll. The 4 highest vote getters go on to the Committee.

Nominatioms last 7 days, the poll would last 7 days (if needed).
