	Another Name Thread Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

post here your suggestions for renaming the landmarks of the map of the planet. (someone suggested this in the first name thread.)
for example: Garland Crater => Markos Crater

1)Andemagne: UNS Unity Crash Site => Burnt Bridges
2)FlameFlash: Uranium Flats => Chrysalis
3)TKG: Great Marine Rift => Darkness' Edge
4)Pandemoniak: that Isthmus => Crisler Lakeside
5)General Tactitus: The Ruins => Soul Of The Planet

post you suggestions for random landmarks as well.
for example: some coast => Skeleton Coast

1)Andemagne: some valley => Hunt Valley
2)Vlad Antlerkov: 1x1 lake => Crater Lake
3)Andemagne: some forest => Sherwood Forest
4)Andemagne: some volcano => Mount Olympos
5)Andemagne: some sea close to us => Mare Nostrum

and remember, these are only suggestions.
and since these are suggestions, you can suggest name to some landmark even if someone have suggested renaming that landmark before.

Are we just letting ordinary citizens have landmarks named after them, or just commissioners, military directors, directors of exploration, and other people who were important to the faction? in the case of exploration directors, the one who found it, in the case of military directors, a great battleground (or something).

HEY! citizen ARE important!

I'm not saying that we should name landmarks after people, just give landmarks good names. if some citizen comes up with good name, why not add it?

lets say Lemmy (as director of exploration) discovers Pholus Ridge. we should name it "lemmy ridge" or something. but then if, oh say, kassiopeia suggests we name it "Kassiopeia ridge" we shouldn't allow it, because kass didn't do anything important (yet) to deserve having a ridge named after him. also in this case, i don't think it should be named "Happy Ridge" or something, because lemmy, as the person who discovered it, has a right to have his name on it.

if kass was the one who suggested "lemmy ridge" then we could consider it a legitimate name.

(i'm just using kass as an example, it could be anyone)

i'm not saying ordinary citizens shouldn't be allowed to suggest names, they just don't deserve to have a big landmark named after them.

no but its the people who chooses the name by a poll in which the commissioner/alpha talent has put several options that were put forth. because if the rover that discovered the ridge is the same turn attack and killed by mindworms we can call it something of roversgrave (not only names from goverment officials everbody that does something good for the game or any name that everone likes has to be an option)

'Landmark' can be replaced with 'Volcano', 'Lake', 'Peninsula', 'Isthmus', 'Ridge', 'Hill', 'River', of course. We must, however, remember to restrict ourselves from becoming overly silly.

btw, what about naming captured bases?

In those situations (which will probably occur) I'd say we could keep the names as they are, except when they sound too "unsuitable" for us, (like Sheng-ji yang base for example)
