Man, such a rainy starting position!

Ok, so we probably started near the Freshwater Sea. My suggestion is we send our scout and colony pod east (after popping that pod in the north), because my memory tells me planetary survey scans from the Unity have indicated several rocky+mineral tiles in that area. When mined, they will give us 7 minerals, greatly fuelling our expansion!

I suppose I should start a seperate thread about this?

in that case, there are rainy tiles to our northwest. we can get maybe our 3rd or 4th base there, and move north up the ridge where there are more rainies.

Meh, apologies for the poor quality of my pic. I don't have any decent image-editing programs (only MS Photo Editor and Paint). For some reason, the default format of Paint is .bmp, so if I save it as a .gif, the colors get screwed up.
