Hm... and the rest of South America? Do you also want to include Brasil and Uruguay? I think Aero's way is best: just one large civ that can still compete with major powers like USA and England... Argentine never was THAT strong.

Aero's was made for Civ3 not PTW, and I don't know how to convert the files.

To convert from standard to PTW format, you could use the Civ3 Multi Tool, which is posted in the Apolyton files forum.

I did it another way: Just rename the file from xxCenturybeta01.bic to xxcenturybeta01.bix and add the new units and buildings in the editor... might sound complicated, but leads to the same result as all other improvements are automatically applied (worker jobs) or not necessary for this scenario (new civilizations).

Dammit, guys!

I don't know if anybody has ever been interested in my version of this scenario (looking at the download rate I doubt it) but as far as I am concerned there are far too many bugs (I made Russia start with Panzers instead of Cossacks...) I will release a new version soon... maybe I'll download it myself a few times to strengthen my self-confidence

A few things (hopefully they haven't been said already, I don't have time to read all the posts).

-Salt Lake City (USA) is spelled wrong (Solt lake city)
-Chihuahua (Mexico) is spelled Chiautia (maybe it's a different city, but it's in the same place)
-Dover (British, in Ethiopia) should be moved West a few squares, still on the coast, and named Djibouti.
-Zanzibar was an important colonial traded center, it should be in there too.
-More cities should be placed in Africa, especially around South Africa (Boer War).
-Turn cultural conversions to default off.

Other than that, it's great to finally have a good historical scenario! Unfortunately, it wouldn't load for me (I looked at it with the editor).

1: There are many spelling errors in the game... I'll take a deeper look at this

3: I did this in my new version, will post it tomorrow
4: Zanzibar was just an island Britain got for the German isle of Helgoland. It has no resources or strategic value, so I do not think I'll include it. Dar-es-salam fulfills the purpose of a colonial center perfectly...
5: Agreed! Will do. Africa is just too quiet at the moment.
6: Hm... I think that this is a matter of opinion. Some people like to play with conversions, some like to play without them... I leave it to the player to judge.

Btw, did you look at my version or at the original file by Aeroprinz?

The new version looks very good, but you should mention that it is PTW now

I this is what I noticed so far by looking at the map:
Vietnam should have some rubber resources (then you could also remove the rubber from france)
Dusseldorf should have coal (
Indonesia should have at least some iron and maybe one rubber
Europe seems to be a bit low on iron

Maybe you could delete the small wonder 'Iron Works' and instead make a new bonus resource called 'Industrial Center' that provides a HUGE shield bonus. This way industrial cities (Lyon, Düsseldorf, Detroit) would keep their strategic value when conquered. (The same could be applied to 'Trade Centers' and 'Farming Centers')

@tarpoon: Did you ever give my version of this scen a try?

I prefer to give European civilization their historical bonuses with the new city improvments, not with the resources, but I could not create a new wonders like "Iron Works", so may be I should add something like 'Industrial Center' ... (The same could be applied to 'Trade Centers' and 'Farming Centers')

All you can see in 1.2 is my own additions, when I was working on this version I have not seen you version ...
For me, it took a lot of time playtesting 1.2, so I could not made all additions I wanted, but at least, 1.2 is very balaced version ...

Last two weeks I am working on creating a new unit scale, with usage of all extra graphics with PTW. I wish also to add some WWI units (Just do not know where to take graphics for it), but it it very difficult to balance all the new units...

I just loaded your scenario as japan and it did immediately crash cause Korea didn't have a leader head
By looking at the editor I noticed that you are still using replacements for civs which were added in PTW (Egypt as Spain for example) and that some of the new civs don't have (military) leader-/city names nor leader heads assigned, which makes the game quite unstable under 1.14f

This error only occurs when you contact another civ (in this case the Korans) or when they contact you...
