The WISE have today released more information on the war with the impure and degenerate race and their weak minded ally.
Details were sketchy, but it appears that the Northern border with Egypt, despite constant bombardment and attack, is holding its own. Reports flood in of Egyptian deaths, the likes of which have never been seen before.
It is apparent that The WISE are privy to more information than this, but it has been deemed unwise to allow it into the public domain at this time.

Turn 204 ==> Sophix
Victory at Llandarcy!
News reached Cardiff today of the Welsh triumph at Llandarcy, northernmost city in the Welsh Empire. The city, which has been under siege from the beginning of the Egyptian campaign, has bravely held out against the hordes of the impure and degenerate Egyptian race.
The WISE reports that a few remaining pikemen were seen fleeing the area in terror, but would not comment on whether a pursuit was being mounted.
At the same time further west, the city of Pontypridd was attacked by a small scout force, which succeeded in knocking out a number of vital trade routes. However, this scout group was part of a larger Egyptian strike force northwest of Llampeter that has been tracked by The WISE for some time now.
Stories have been flooding into The WISE headquarters about the terrible slaughter of Japanese at Caernarfon. Brutal murders and destruction are said to have been wrought throughout the city, with the torture of innocent civilians also reported.
In a public address, the Welsh Fuhrer Demosthenes stated:
"It is sad to hear that kindred members of the superior Welsh race have been subjected to such violence and humility, but the northeast region of Wales has been bordering the Roman Empire for some time, and so it was inevitable that at least some Roman impurity would seep into their souls. They chose their fate when they declared thier independance."

Learned scholars in Cardiff today debated the somewhat hypocritical use of capitalism and market forces by the Communist state of Egypt. It seems that the
'principles' that this inferior race hold sacrosanct are easily dismissed upon the whim of it's degenerate leader.

Fascists of Wales rejoice that their antipodian brethren have joined them on the battlefield against the impurity of Egypt. It is hoped and expected that the combined might of the Fascist race will now sweep across the plains of Egypt, liberating the people from their communist tyranny, purifying them and assimilating them into the superior race.
General Rick, no Fascist movement is "ill-concieved". Perhaps your recent move to commander-in-chief of the degenerate forces is the reason for your rash statements, but Wales has already fended off the Egyptian army of "size and ferocity", without any regrets.
I put it back to you to "consider the bite that has been inflicted upon your army this turn as a gentle warning", and inform you that the Fascists of Wales enjoyed the taste and are hungry for more.

An Open Communication to the leaders of Wales and Australia:
Gentlemen,
As acting Commander of the nation of Egypt, I inherited a hot war between this country and Wales. It was not my place to make peace, but I attempted to move the conflict to the courtroom, where it was hoped that lives could be spared.
Unfortunately, stacks of Welsh soldiers continued to move against our cities, so I felt forced to send off a warning volley in hopes that they would not continue their advance.
But this advance continues, and many Egyptian soldiers have been killed this day. In addition, the nation of Australia has decided to attack simultaneously, and many more Egyptians have been killed.
I had hoped that this war would cool during Sophix's absence, but this has not been the case. So I will ask you both this question:
Would it not be more seemly to wait for the return of he with whom you have these grievances? What satisfaction will there be to continue this with a mere surogate?
I ask that a cease-fire go into effect until the return of the true leader of Egypt. For my part, I have ordered the armies of Egypt to fall back, pending your decision. Furthermore, Egypt will agree to cease ALL hostilities as long as I am in charge.
It is hoped that this will not be taken as a sign of weakness, but instead understood as the reluctance to continue actions of this magnitude in the absence of the true leader of Egypt.

Guys,
I concede that Rick has a justified point. As the situation has become so tense perhaps it is wise that we stall the game , we do have to think about Sophix. I bet he's enjoying the intensity of this game as much as I and I wouldn't want him to miss out on it after all the time we've put in. (Besides, I wouldn't want him to have an excuse either!  )
Put it this way, if I where going to be away I would ask that the game paused until I returned. Even though I could trust a sub to do the job for me, as I do in other games, I would (and have) ask for a pause 
This game has built up so much from a complete love-fest, to which I take a large percentage of blame into a complete and total war in each and every aspect.
Selfish as it is, I wouldn't want to miss anything, and I can only apply the same courtesy to Sophix, so I suggest that we pause and wait for Sophix to return.
Rick, this request is not to be taken as a comment on your gaming ability, and so please don't be offended. And please do not think that Lung or I where trying to take 'advantage' by launching an attack as soon as Sophix is off the scene The turn of attack was planned in advance, and I got so carried away in the build-up that I didn't think about Sophix missing anything.
Sorry about the lengthy explanation and all that 
Please state if you object, otherwise I will consider you in agreement.

Yes, Mobius, the consensus was to wait for Sophix to return, but that was decided before you played turn 206. Now turn 206 is with me, so, do i;-
a) Play it and let turn 207 sit with Sophix until he returns, or
b) Let Sophix re-play turn 206, being a critical turn, before sending it to Mobius to re-play his turn 206?
Unless i hear otherwise, i'll play it tonight. By the time Sophix returns (i thought he already had ), it should be waiting for him

Turn 207 ==> Sophix
The First Day of Purification!
Word has spread among the people of Wales, news that the Fascist race has begun it's process of purifying the degenerate Communist race.
Whilst citizens of the superior race were celebrating Australian liberation of the cities of Philae and Abusir, Welsh troops bravely marched onward to glory, and revenge.
Troops of the 1st Welsh Fascist Brigade descended upon the Egyptian capital city of Cairo, and backed with numerous cannon divisions quickly disposed of the armed sub-species therein.
It should be noted that the resistance encountered lacked the "size and ferocity" that Egyptian Commander-in-Chief General Rick had promised.
However, the Romans have proved far more effective in their campaign against Wales. So much so, that Fuhrer Demosthenes has been rumoured to ask whether the Egyptian nation is still wearing the trousers in their alliance 
The Romans recent raid of Caerphilly brought about a huge public demand for revenge, and so Welsh troops already on their way to garrison the city now found themselves attacking it. More Roman forces were expected than encountered, and the city was reunited with the Fatherland without loss of Welsh life. Other impure Roman cavalry, roaming the area and disrupting trade routes were also quickly disposed of.
With a Communist-Facist loss of life ratio of over 4-1, the reunification of Caerphilly, and the liberation of Cairo, along with the successes of our Australian brethren, this truly was a great day for the Fascist race.

Turn to Mobius (last night)
The loss of Cairo is unfortunate but will prove to be a Puric victory for Wales. The Egyptian Armies which could not make it in time to defend Cairo; have arrayed themselves and it is doubtful that Cardiff will be able to take any future ground.
Cairo will be Egyptian once again!!!
It is of note that the Fascist despite proclaiming their superiority were unable to furnish the resources necessary to build proper modes of transport, and are relying on primitive roads.
Concerning Australia their attack was purely illegal and will be dealt with in short order!
The battle is lost, but the war is far from over.

Trun 208 ==> Sophix
News from the Front!
The unstoppable tide of Fascism continues to spread across the plains of Egypt. News that El Duce Lung the Legendry had forced the city of Abydos into submission greeted Welsh ears with delight. The Fascists were forcing the Communists back, creating a buffer zone of defence from impurity.
Whole armies of degenerate Egyptian troops, formerly camped within range of Denbigh, can be seen retreating back into the Egyptian heartlands. The smell of fear and desperation is spreading across the home of Communism, as their once proud military scurries home to prevent further losses.
Consolidation
Spurred on by the success of our Australian allies, Fuhrer Demosthenes set about consolidating his presence in Egypt. Cairo held strong through a counter offensive, and was bolstered by a new high in poluation happiness. Hordes of people crowded in the city's parliament square, once home to the degenerate Sophix and his corrupt Communist government, to celebrate their liberation from tyranny and the purification of their souls.
Next stop, Busiris
Delving deeper into Egyptian territory, the great city of Busiris became the latest jewel to be added to the Fascist crown. A brave battle was fought, and many Fascists, pure of heart and soul, lost their lives. But the might of Wales, epitomised by the use of heavy artillery, saw to it that the battle would be short. Making use of Egyptian railways, Wales has already managed to replace those lost in the field.
However, reinforcements heading from Naucratis did not manage to arrive in time to save Busiris. Unlike the tormented souls of the Romans, the Welsh Liberation Army have so far managed not to butcher a single civilian life.
Hordes in the North
The pure and enlightened souls of Taff Wells prepare themselves for the latest onslaught of the degenerate Roman Communists. Company after company of Musketeers can be seen heading south down the River Rhymney, and a full scale siege, the likes of which seen at Llandarcy, is expected.
The WISE reports that casualties of the highest magnitude are expected at Taff Wells.
Onward to victory and purification!

Turn 209 ==> Sophix
Down with the Communist scum of the earth! Wales mourns the loss of a Cavalry Brigade that accidently strayed into the immense city of Thebes and were brutally murdered, and so the soveriegn volk of Wales demanded revenge 
As Fuhrer I accepted full responsibilty for the accident and personally headed an army littered with veterans in the shape of Fascists, Cannon and Artillery.
As first to the breach, I could see a formidable force awaiting inside the city, which was full of Cavalry and Musketeers, with a few Pikemen and Cannon thrown in for good measure
But their measure was simply not good enough, and with minimal losses the Welsh juggernaut continued it's roll across Egyptian plains. Now the worlds second largest city thankfully accepts liberation from Communist impurity, and the gateway to the heart of Egypt has opened up before us, with the prize of Alexandria looming ever closer.
Standing in triumph before the epic Ramayana, I was forced to think of the huge similarities between myself and its hero Ravana, who also had to overcome the 'evil incarnate'. I was also reminded that now all of the Great Wonders of the World are in Fascist possession
As if in proof of the degenerate Communists disregard for human life and the world we live in, The WISE today released reports and photographs of environmental destruction within Roman territory, especially near their production centres of Virconium and Rome.
