An investigation into the alleged "Rome incident" has taken place, with General Don yet to report. However, there's no evidence so far that this alleged event has even occurred. Hopefully, this will prove to have been an unfortunate mistake, and not some Roman conspiracy to initiate war with Australia, as some have suggested. It would be very sad if Mobius had used blatant opportunism of Steve Waugh the Great taking a well-earned break to collect his Australian cricketer-of-the-year award (the Aussie cricket captain may as well be the Prime Minister, as it's arguably more important ), to create an excuse for war

Still, the investigation is in it's early stages, so it's too early to start pointing fingers. If Australia indeed committed this crime, it would have been initiated by a lowly ship's captain, as the admiral of the Australian Navy is busy in the western ocean cleaning up the Egyptian Navy. If so, the captain will be put to death for putting the great Australian nation at unnecessary risk. On the other hand, if the allegations turn out to be nothing more than a fabrication, the Australian combined forces will be more than ready for any attempted Roman insurgency.

In other news, Australian fascists successfully recaptured Oryx with negligible loss, in what will go down in history as one of the great Australian victories! Egyptian troops were well and truly caught with their pants down and caught by surprise at the speed and ferocity of the Australian troops. Roman troops and their once shiny-new tanks littered the extensive battlefields of Oryx in what must have been a devastating blow to the Egyptian aggresors. Retribution was quick to the Egyptian war criminals, with public hangings cheered by former Egyptian citizens outraged by the injustices of the Egyptian counter-attackers who massacred Australian prisoners-of-war without trial.

Off to a slow start, Roman Armoured Spearheads were momentarily held up by a maximum sized Fascist division, which was easily brushed aside like so much confetti!
