organgutang = something on Makeo's mind

and finbar you moron = you didn't follow orders but you better from now on

It's not over yet though. Are we playing on if I down Makeo's SS? I think the game will go forever if so... but I don't mind. I've got most of the planet

finbar could give his cities to the player of his choice, presumably makeo since deity attacked him, and you 2 could slug it out.

Being the spare pr*ck at a wedding isn't much fun.

And I'd like to see a screenshot of deity's rep please.

Don't worry, I'll sheet the blame back to you

The amazing thing I learned here was that after Horsies invasion my whole precious psychology changed. After I lost so many improvements, even after getting my cities back, I found that I more easily threw caution to the wind and played more risky sand courageously. I didn't worry about losing pop, losing units or selling more improvements. I just put everything into a war machine - rush buying on a mega basis - and just going for it.
I wasn't going to declare war on finbar, with whom I HAD a peace Treaty, but was gouing to build my own cities nearby. But when I saw him actively pillaging road and rail of his that I needed I changed my mind. I haven't looked at the Foreign Advisor to check out my spotlessness lately... But I'm still in anarchy after the oedo year came round in 1844. So what gives with the oedo years during spaceflight turns?

I think you are seriously under-estimating finbar's ability to do damage

Better to be at the Wedding than in the graveyard

Walter Mitty anyone?

Maybe deity's turns take so long because he diarises while he plays.

Instead of interferring with your 'Horse' rules paradigm why don't you let the players in the game speak for themselves?

After all, you are now irrelevant Horsie

finbar can't win? You've been saying that about me for some time now and that I should have conceded ages ago... I think your credibility in assessing civ strategically has been shown for what it is

The road/rail you saw being pillaged was between two of my cities. One on the coast, one inland, about 5 squares apart. How were you going to use the road/rail? Build between the cities? An inland city? When you needed a coastal city to build your transport? I had partisans in place blocking your access to the only available coastal land anyway. It was evident what you were going to do - use my civ as a jumping-off point to get to Makeo - I just took the preventative measures in the wrong order, unfortunately.

And my important game turns are no slower than yours.

If that partisan wasn't there pillaging roads I was going to storm through with a connected rail to the coastline between your cities... You knew what you were doing

I was NOT going to attack you unless I had no other choice, which you gave me. Any attempt by me to build cities or rail in two movement terrain and Makeo would have just killed them.

Instead of taking preventative measures you could have done that deal with me and taken out Makeo's cap yourself.

You missed my point that (a) there's very little coastline available to be built on; and (b) you would've had to attack to get access to it anyway.

Without resurrecting the old debate, although my decision was flawed at the time in 1836 it was much worse as a result of the double civ attack...

OK, check them out. But this is sore loser territory now

Very sad to start casting aspersions now.

With big cities it's very easy to have troops away and maintain happiness. I usually play without Wonders to strengthen my ability to fine tune happiness whilst waging a war and still achieving a high GNP.

BTW Even if you look at the saves, how is it possible to alter this situation? I'm not even the host!

Be very careful about crossing this line Horsie.

How about a bit of Aussie sportsmanship and trust here?

nor has this!

a) you have not studied the map carefully enough finbar...

b) I would only have attacked if you were in the way - this is the end game, three turns to D Day...

That may not have won you the game but at least your civ would still be in tact and still in the running - as it is you are stuffed! Unless you wish to form a "co-operative relationship"
