In the running for what?! My role in the the game was very limited from the outset thanks to where I started - cramped in the corner of a continent with a couple of tiny two-city islands to the north. I think I told you at one point - even with all possible shield improvers, I had 4 cities producing more than 8 shields. I stayed in the game to keep the game going. Stuffed!? It was stuffed from the outset. What happens now is of absolutely no consequence.
