	Embassy of the Community Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Greetings citizens of Apolytonia

The people of the Community are always glad to meet new, bold civilizations that have entered the world of site-based gaming. Whether it be a Democracy, Monarchy, Oligarchy, or any other form of government - we wish to learn more of you, and invite you to learn more of us. To this end, we have established this embassy and ask for your hospitality. Through the embassy you can ask questions about the Community, or even follow the links provided below and pay us a visit.

Also, we would like to ask you to join the United Nations. Each nation is invited to send one or two official representatives to the UN Council, where they can debate on serious matters of state - the supreme purpose being, to establish a base for a possible future intersite Nation Game over Play The World. The UN Forum is open to all visitors, whether they are members of our site or not, and serves as a central, intersite discussion platform where people from all over the net can gather to share thoughts and ideas.

As your Community ambassador, you can speak to me if you have any questions or problems regarding the Community - I will be more than happy to help.

You should be able to see and access the UN board. Are you saying it is gone? If you can't see it you're probably able to go to the UN board by entering your profile and click on view latest threads. I'll look into the problem of the disappeared UN board right away. Maybe something changed after given you posting abilities here.

UnOrThOdOx, your tag has been removed. I hope you or another Apolyonian representative will be chosen as an embassador. On top of that, maybe Apolytonia is interested in sending some one as a UN diplomat. We had this idea about playing a intersite Democracy Game and if the people of Apolytonia are interested in this plan, a diplomat of your nation is needed to organize this project.

It is currently winning in the poll that SOMEONE will go. I thought it would not be right to have the tag unless I am formally chosen, therefore. I will continue to visit and keep in touch even if I am not chosen, however, out of interest.

I hope that i will soon see a UN representative there. I believe the FANATIKAN un representative will also be the community-ambassador. I proposed to our FA that all ambassadors of all our embassies should be treated as UN secretaries for the UN representative.
We also will propably treat our Embassy in the Community as UN-Office for the representative and his secretaries.
This way we dont need a seperate person to do the UN job.

That is the primary idea of the UN i believe. Bringing together the different cultures to decide the things which will be important for all nations.

I also believe we can level the terrain for a cross-national demogame in the future with this, as we would be able to have an international platform. Also, we can learn from the other nations and they can learn from us. No demogame is perfect, and maybe even some citizens will go from one to another to see which fits their needs best.
We can all take the best things of the other nations we see fit for our nation, and we all let them learn our good things. And of course, we will also be warned of bad things which could also happen to a demogame by talking to each other.

When the people of Apolytonia have made a descision about sending an ambassador and a UN delegate to 1BC (or not)please let me know. Like I mentioned before the UN diplomat and ambassador don't have to be the same person. Please note, it is essential to send some one over as a UN member if we want to set up an intersite DG game.

Our Community has entered another crisis again. For the second time in our short history the president is impeached. Kurt411 was impeached after a request by Wolfhart for lack of activity. Our vice president Zyn made up for Kurt's lack of activity and did a very good job at taking over the presidents' tasks. New campaigns are running now and we will probably have presidential elections in a few days.

The first time our president was impeached was before the game was actually begun. I must admit I was the one responsible for the impeachment of our president and vice president at that time. I had to resign as a judge and I asked for impeachent of our president and vice president. The Minister of Interior will take over the presidents job during the campaigns and elections because Zyn resigned and is running for the president's position.

Right now our government consists of only four people:
- Warmax: Minister of Interior
- King_Lamus: Minister of Defense
- Scorpius: Minister of Finance and Science
- Yannick2306: Minister of State

The president's and vice president's seat are vacant till after the elections.

Yes, that would be easier but we have only one election for the president and vice president according to our constitution. The winner of the election will become president and the runner-up gets the vice president's job.

Impeachments!!!

I believe that is a first from any demoGame. CFC had some investigations, but I don't believe they ever actually impeached anyone.

I hope impeachments won't become a regular event in our game but we seem to be unlucky when it comes to activity of our president. What do your people here do when one of the vital members of your government doesn't do the job?

We have installed amendments so people can replace the ministers regarding voting and submitting proposals. This will (hopefully) prevent issues like lack of activity of one of our ministers. For example: I have been appointed general and I have to replace King_Lamus, our Minister of Defense, in case of his absence.

The Community has installed a new executive team today. As expected Zyn got most of the votes and is our new president now. Fragmate is our new vice president.

How do you like the idea of starting a newspaper for all the demogames? It will help us keep in touch with each other and follow each other's progress.

As for bumping threads you better select the threads on date. This will always show the latest threads.
Of course a paper for all demogames is a great idea but maybe we should wait until all the council members are in position. Please note you can send more than one person to the council but all sites get 1 vote. Apoc(alypse), please let us know if you are chosen and we will give you access to the UN council.

We entered another crisis in our Democracy Game. One of our members Winner is accused of playing ahead and he already admitted the crime. Winner is a well respected member of the Community and a moderator of our general civ3 board. Right now out Surpreme Judge Maniacalmonkey is looking at the evidence and I expect Winner will be found guilty because of his confession.
