We cannot allow either of these two extremes to represent our Civilization in the International Arena of the United Nations! We must bring balance to the representative party with judicious use of Independent Representatives of the mainstream body of the people, not these extremists who have dishonored the word 'party' by claiming the title for themselves!

Judges would be a less good idea, me thinks

if they are trying to further our nations motives, one way or another (politically, if they are in UN), then they shouldn't be doing it.

I've done some looking at that page, and I'd love to participate in any way possible (as a representative either here or over there). To be honest, I'd love to collaborate with them a bit about their Code of Laws for when we write ours (who's above stealing a bit ?), and I think the whole idea's facinating. I think I'm going to go find their CoL and give it a look over, actually .

Sounds like UnOrthO's already been accepted as an ambassador there (which is awsome). Btw, thanks for the plug for the directory in the Embassy thread . There are many other suitable choices for additional representatives, however, so we should find out how many representatives they'd be willing to host and move from there.

I believe adaMada is starting to get towards the point there... We should send neither a committed pacifist, nor a committed hawk. Rather, we should send diplomats who are versed in the Machiavellian art of realpolitik diplomacy... realists equiped with the proper strategic mindset needed to tackle the myriad issues of geopolitics without being hampered by excessive ideological sentiments...

That being said, it would seem for a forum like the "United Nations" that a pacifist would be preferable to a hawk for the simple reason that the UN is generally a peace-loving organization and it would pay to at least *appear* to be in agreement with its peace-loving goals by send a pacifist than to send a hawk and remove all doubt...

In all seriousness, I was accepted over their as our embassador simply because I created an embassy for us over there. I never asked for that position, and would happily step aside should we decide to hold elections. I just visit because it interests me to see how the different sites handle similar problems of running the Gov't. We never elected anyone for CFC, we just did it, so I didn't even think about waiting for an official word.

For those of you who don't want to go looking:

They are creating a forum for representatives of all DemoGames, currently: 1BC, Fanantica, and Apolytonia to meet and discuss both the problems of running a govt, and to set up rules for which we will all agree to play by for PTW.

An intersite civ game after release of PTW is the most important reason the UN board on 1BC is created. My question is: are the people in Apolytonia interested in an intersite DG? If this question is answered, it will be much easier to continue this dicussion. Please note, the embassador of your nation in our community doesn't have to be the same person as the UN representative.
