Really, say what ya want, its not about where my civ is that makes it boring or not. If chris or I were so far behind that it wasnt worth playing, perhaps the statement might have some validity. But neither of us are behind the curve so much that we cant get back into it.
My empire is still growing, my tech rate is decent, trade is starting to take off...theres plenty of good things going on, as far as game stuff goes...its just the wait between turns thats killing me. It really is tough to swallow 10 minutes of waiting and a minute and a half of moving. Granted, I am not the most patient guy, but quite clearly not that impatient either.
A war is not a guaranteed way of adding interest to the game. It could make it less interesting.
With lighthouse and magellans, no doubt Makeos empire is more equipped to start a war than any others, but it would still take dozens of turns just for a few boatloads of units to arrive for a fight from Aztec land.
I think we should try the simul and see what happens.

Deity sure has enough opinions for not even being in the game.
add the following line to your civ.ini file and then make it read only.
Simultaneous= 1
When there is war you go turn based and once the guy your at war with is done moving he posts in the king chat done... and then you can move.

Thanks Markusf, its all set up everyone make sure you create a scenario folder called Romans so that we can start it up as a scn.
Anyone know if Frank’s computer troubles are fixed, I read in another thread he was having trouble.

Srholmes here is what you do, go to the find option (should be in the start button on most window systems) type civ.ini should show up in your windows dir. Double click on that and add Simultaneous= 1 to it and then go to file press save then go back to the find files program and right click on the civ.ini and switch it to read only. Don’t worry about the path I switched the scenario to my main folder so we don’t have any path problems.
Frank, hope your Internet returns to normal.

Drake, I would assume only the host needs to change their ini file however I am not sure so if someone more knowledge able wants to answer please do.
Don’t worry about creating the file; I decided it would just be easier if I moved the scenario to my civ two dir. Instead of a scn. folder. So everyone should be combatable path wise.

We tested, everything should be all right, no one needs to do anything. See you all tonight.
