	Monday Night Game: Stories, screen shots, status etc. Remove this text

Well the first session of Monday Night Civ was a definite success, with what appears to be 6 enthusiastic and reliable people. The starting cast for MNC is

Dangime as the Japs
Chris62 as the Germans
Holmes as the English
Makeo as the Aztecs
Prometheus as the Romans
and myself as the Scotts

We are playing 1x1x, emperor level on a large map with level 1 barbs.

In our first session, we made it to 50 BC, with only one very minor connection issue.

As the holder of the Embassy, it appears the cast is pretty even across the board in science, though there is quite a difference in population and military between a few civs. Some civs have started on islands, and atleast one or two have started on "the" main continent. Civ contact is minimal at this point, though several alliances have apparently been set up.

No war has broke out, but there has probably yet to have been any territory issues, considering how vast the world must be.

I'm looking forward to week 2, hoping it will be as problem free as week 1.

In closing, I will leave you with an early territory map of scotland...just wont share where on the board it is

In the first session of the game, The Japanese set down the basis of what is to be a great empire in all manners. 9 idealic cities were set down in the lush and fertile grasslands of the Japanese Penisula. All the cities are connected with an extensive road system, and the Japanese form of government allows its citizens to live without the oppressive means of other governments allowing them to detiticate all their resources to the procurment of funds for temples and researching the merits of foreign trade and the mysteries of the Gods.

Lord Dangime has set out a 10 turn plan for the citizens, of which they have embraced and wholeheartedly approved. It calls for the completion of the remaining temples in the city states and a grand celebration to the Gods after their completions. Surely this plan will make the Republic of Japan first among nations.

Many adventures at sea and in untamed lands await the Japanese Republic as it expands ever futher into the vastes of the unknown world.

I didn't make any screen shots, but I will tell you that Germania is by far the largest land, and has the largest armed force.

We already have two alliances, and are growing fast.

He was refering to the vastness of the territory claimed by the Germany-Japanese alliance... to that I can testify. However our maps are far to large and give too many hints to be offered as a screen shot.

Funny you say that Diety, the last MP game I played was against Drake and Pro, beat them in that as I recall.

You always ask that, I filled in for Ozzy and Ras in your big game.

Actually, Dang has gotten real good lately.

Prom the peacemonger - usually
Dang the exterminator
Chris the one deity gets confused... but must be good
and srholmes the wildcard, the new Aussie I've not played yet

Yep, another week over.

Met three tribes so far, and on friendly terms with all.

I would say the Aztecs and the Romans are the world leaders, and the ol Germans are the bottom of the barrel.

How'd you like that up shoot? I've closed on the leaders pretty well......I admit I'm kind of irked I missed all the happiness wonders, but games of this size usually get to those wonderful late game governments that make happiness less of an issue

Scotts boast the biggest empire, and the second largest army, but are definetly struggling to keep up in the science category.

Scotts have yet to meet anyone but the Germans, despite exploring a very sizable chunk of the world.

I was irked to be beaten to philosophy by the scots, but still managed to secure MC. I think my science is doing ok as is my population. Second biggest army by 1. Have met every civilization except the scots.

I love the lighthouse.

Lets just say, if I hadnt had Marco Polos and hadnt known you were on philo, and hadnt been able to then trade for an appropriate tech, you would have definetly beat me to it.

Rumor has it the Aztecs are in the Scottish (I mean Northern) Hemisphere, so I reckon we'll meet sooner than later.

Ah Civ.. nice to see so little has changed here. Looks like a good game, I'm pulling for Shogun Dangime and/or Caeser Prometheus.

So far no real tension in the game.....though its due for some confrontation.....will it happen this session? We'll find out real soon!
