I've always had second thoughts on the missile defense system and the vast amount of money being poured into it. Personally, I wouldn't mind have a hundred or so interceptor warheads, but anything beyond that isn't worth the expense (yeah, like Russia, China, India, the EU or Pakistan are going to suddenly lob their nuclear arsenals at us).

As for Army divisions, how many do we have now? 10? That's not much for a supposed "hyperpower" that we are now.

One final question: Are you sure you're not a statesman posting as a regular Joe, MtG? Are you really Colin Powell?

This thread was worth sifting through for the discussion between GateKeeper and MtG. Especially, MtG's analysis of the situation. I hope he's right about Bush not actually wanting a war, but I worry that he's itching for one (wtf was up with the "he tried to kill my daddy" comment?!?!? This thing has crossed into the realm of the bizarre).

Too bad the thread was Fezzed.

Arrian, the ONLY way the inspections are going to be effective and prevent war is if the threat of war is credible.
