New player added..welcome SLY

We need new suggestions for 2nd round.....

1st round is active. Having some problems between different game versions. We ended up playing SMACX ditching Drougue (sorry) it worked pretty well. We used turns instead of sim. moves...it was a bit slow I think. But we try the SIM. move next time.

In lack of other good ideas I suggest second round on next friday or sturday 21:00 GMT.

I cant myself in that weekend (sad) but go ahead. Gameplay during weekdays is ok to.

Hi everyone,
I'm very glad to join You in this Ip-game tournament.

I've written before that i can play SMAC only, but it won't be a problem to download SMACX.

About frequency of playing - it would be good to play twice a week, best in weekends min 3 hours.
Through weekends i can play any time you suggest - even 3a.m.

SMACX preferred. It works on all systems and it has more features and includes all that SMAC has.
At last there isn't any reason to use SMAC any more if you have SMACX.

Hello Guys

I am ready for a game tonight..lets say 21:30 GMT.
I am up for a 3 hours run max, since I have to go to work friday...but I intend to resume the game later...not in the weekend though.. since I am very busy with family buisness.

5 players and its going well, shame im last... by quite abit made some really bad mistakes and nearly got beaten up by the comp lol the embaressment but im fighting back, nearly killed santiago who was the top military power until recently so im still having fun

2nd round is rolling...and it is great playing 5 humans....but the upkeeps are slow...no critique...it can be no different when playing 5. But I most stress that it is better so far with sim moves than turns. I think it will take much longer.

However I will consider making time control in the next game or when the game is resumed.

Sly and Drogue is now the only players not yet been in battle????

Tournament is going quite well but ofcorse we most make an effort to finish some of the PBEM games as the tournament preceds. It is not an absolute neccesity to play the game to the bitter end...one can surrender, if situation is impossible...and save time. One dosn´t loose more points by surrendering than by being exterminated.

Dreifel just send a mail to the entire group about game-suggestion..It is the best way to deliver the information with so short notice. But by default the announcement should also be made on this thread.

Meanwhile we've the 19., but nothing happened and I got no contact for a game last weekend by ICQ.
(I also sent an email to all with the addresses + ICQ numbers, for a better communication)

I had a test hosting with Sly, but from here (Germany) with him (Poland) he only got a ping of 480 ms. It may be better with a host from an other country, as the slowness starts at the transmit gate between Germany and Polnish telecom.

We have to watch that we'll normal start an IP at 21/22h GMT if we play transatlatic. And in this case we can't play over the week, as we all have to wake up the next early morning.
Either we'll start an "Europe Only" IP early at 17h GMT or have to accept that the most only have time at Fridays and Saturdays.

whats happening about the 2nd round game i think it was where henwen was top as morgan and i was last i think as chairman yang fighting santiago.
Are we going to find a time to continue playing that some more as ip or start it as a pbem ?

I think we should resume the game on thursday...I´ll Email around tonight.
When you finish the turn it says who the next player is...it is either the drones (omni) or morgans (HenWEn) sorry but I didn´t get the proper list in which to play the turns.... hope you find out...mail me if not.
