I want you all to be on the lookout for a brown-eyed young señorita with a crescent sprangled toga and hysterical laughter.

She is my cousin Rita Lolipõpa and she is having a problem...
It's called Shoppomania, an addiction.
So when she arrive at the marketplace, do not sell her anything! If you do, she will haggle and haggle until nightfall and then you are probably broke. Ok, just my advice.

The family are looking into the problems now,
and we have a theory:
If she gets married to the dictators family,
the national budget would suffer. So we are probably going to marry her away to a Legoman, or Trip perhaps....

Writing? I should invent that! I could... sell it? Can this writing be sold? Because I had trouble selling fire. So now I'm selling firestone and directions on how to use it to make fire. It's much easier. Is there something one uses to write I could sell?

Yes, as a matter of fact there is. I believe the accepted insignia for government weapons is a RTP, surrounded by a circle.

As for a government discount: I am sure our Great Dictator Togas, as well as myself, would very much like to obtain a discount on your fine weapons. Perhaps we can make some part of the cost of your weapons tax deductible?

Great High Priest, the sampling booth is right over here. How's that?

Thank you, Senor Dejon. I apologize for the mistake. Quite foolish on my part. I am prepared to pay a large price for the great axe, and I agree to all your terms. We need to go into battle with a weapon that is suitably fearsome. I have found the exact passage from the 1st Book of the Song of Togas. It's from the gathering of the tribes..."And from the north came the tribe of the Calamari..." It's quite fitting, think ye not? In four days I shall collect it. I am sure that it shall be, as always, excellent work, worthy of the finest of warriors.

Senor Mitchell, I wish to buy from La Ropa a certain article of vestment known as a wool cloak. Yes, I need the wool cloak to be 6 feet long, and large enough to be able to be wrapped around the body several times over. I want bear fur (I can get it if you can't), and I want it to be as warm for the winter months that are descending as possible. In pay, I can afford a great deal, or, if you like, I can give it to you in squid or slave girls, though I prefer using bones.

Senor Calamari, this interesting piece of clothing can be arranged. Let's see...I think 6 bones would be a fair asking price, considering you're asking for a type of garment new to La Ropa. As for bear fur, you're in luck because Thug just killed a bear this morning. We have plenty of bear fur now!

Attention! This morning I bought 10,000 head of cattle from a cattle rancher by the name of Buffalo Chip who had, under King Alaric the Vanquished, owned much of the territory east of the city, including the pastures. Chip was down on his luck, and sold me 10,000 head of cattle for a life-time supply of squid, and so, I now announce that...El Squid Company has expanded to include beef! Yes, if you don't simply want El Squid squid, you can get a squid and a steak, or just a steak, or a roast beef, or a leg of beef, etc. We also sell milk! Yes, that's right! El Squid Company has now become El Squid & Company! We now sell BEEF!

A great boon, Hernan, but I Buffalo Chip has sold you something he did not own.

My family has owned a ranch and a great many head of cattle in the valley to the East of Madrid. It is where my father and his father were raised. It is common knowledge that my family was one of the first families to adopt to farming. We also owned a great many head of cattle.

The old family ranch is to the northern-most end of the valley to the east (north-east of the red dot). We have a great many head of cattle in our herd. I trust that if any of your inherited cattle comes from this part, that you will graciously turn them over to your humble despot.

No, sir, it appears as if these cattle are knew to Spain, and are called Black Angus, and are thus thought to originate somewhere north of the city boundaries. I had Gastronome research the late lamented Mr. Chip, and the evidence is that he was born a Celtic-Visigoth. Despite some run-ins with the law, he managed to become a prosperous cattle herder, running them in from over the border for a ranch to the east of the city. We checked it out, and found that it was not your own ranch at all, but one north of it, called Chip Ranch. This one seems to be very ancient, and appears to be strictly legit. Unless you want me to turn these cattle over to you after spending what I did for them, I think that you would, in all fairness, allow our company to maintain control of this herd.

Hernan de History Guy Calamari

No enemy of Togas...not his cattle...I swear! (damn, why wasn't I told he had control of those cows?!)
