	TEG: The Explorers Guild Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

For all those of you who like to travel and perhaps colonize new lands,
I hereby open The Explorers Guild.

When we have established contact with our homelands soon
,and we start to colonize it, we will have to rapidly discover the landmass and find out certain things about it.
And look around for GOLD of course!
Uh, I'm so thirsty now... wonder why?
Ok, after a while, the oceans will be ours and I will embark and perhaps die in a land far far away!

This guild will take care of the interest in exploration of the endless world, so we can be one step ahead of all the others who might be out there.

As I said earlier, I support exploration. However, I am much to busy to do it. So, I too will send my sons in my stead. I have four sons: Dijon, Poupon Jr., Jean, and Leis. They all help me run my trade, but I can go without two of them for extended periods of time.

In three days my giant stone axe will be finished, and then I myself shall lead the warriors up to the crest of the Lonely Mountains outside Madrid, and return to the city. My younger brother will then continue exploring where I left off. Oh well...at least he's going. I'd love too. Killing savages is in me blood. However, so is squid farming...

I bring with me my own battleaxe, and seven smaller throwing axes, just in case we meet the enemy. I also bring a large dog to keep us company, and to help us hunt for food. Juan de Calamari, is your dog friendly? What’s his name? I have some little Spaniards here who’d like to see the dog off by giving him a pat, but I want to make sure it’s safe before I let them.

Oh yes, my aunt Esmeralda the Duenna is here too and she brought some Spanish maidens to see off the brave explorers. No pats though! Aunt Esmeralda is very strict. Don’t think this is the Spirit of Love shop that just opened up in the Marketplace.

Senor Ronni, the dog is named Sancho, after my father's other manservant, the cousin of Gastronome Neecap, Sancho Panza. He is a friendly little fellow, partially because he has few brains. However, he is a good and faithful servant, and he can catch all manner of animals, especially pheasants and squids.

I have spent many a day wandering through this great land, ever since the wamongering people a great distance form here did kill my parents and send me ruinning for my life when I was just a lad. While I like the Spanish and wish to remain, I fear, as I have in the past that I will need to leave soon, so perhaps this exploring I can do for you before you send me a way.

Now that early exploration is only about 4 turns away, I would like to propose that early exploration be to our northwest. El Rio Tejo (temporary name? I don't know) could provide us with another prime location for a grand river city.

The commerce benefits, the easy growth without a need for a contraption called an "aqueduct", the destiny of the Spanish people demand it

Any thoughts?

I agree with initial exploration being to the Northwest. The goody hut to our south will be absorbed when Madrid expands, so no use in wasting time moving our warrior over to it.

while running through a scenario, I found out that the expansion of our borders may trigger barbarians coming out of the goody hut.

It might we a good idea to hold off exploring with the second warrior to insure this is not the case in the actual game. I don't know if the intention for this warrior was to have it defend Madrid or go off exploring. If we wish to explore with it, we could always move it one tile outside the city so we could get going but be close enough to move it back if trouble comes.

Olá Señores ,

I have been ordered to lead the first expediton into the unknown.
Now I look forward to scale great mountains to get a good view upon mother nature. I love good views and travelling !

Where I'll see smoke, I guess there are humans.
I'm gonna investigate such things carefully.
I will keep the warriors temper at bay unless we meet barbarians.

I guess we plan an initial route to the north then?
The smoke signals my grandfather saw in the southwest,
appers to be a human tribe. I might meet with them first,
unless we send our slaves down there, or it becomes our land first... Uh, I think it's less than a two weeks travel.

As soon as our first band of warriors is ready, I command you to take them and your new group of Explorers and go DUE WEST until you have climbed to the top of thost mountains. From the top of those mountains you should get a wonderful view of the vallies that surround us. Send someone from your party back to report to us what you see.

And should your band come across any barbarians, destroy them.

Good. I looked at the map again señor, and it's a wise decision.
This mountain is not far away... A couple of weeks by feet, I suppose, but I've heard rumors it's indeed very high.
Therefore, we have to leave before the winter.
I'll send you reports of the surroundings as requested.

Muy importante:
I need to get at least three slaves to carry my backpack, tent, olive, cheese and wine supplies.
I will treat them well, and we can even grant them freedom if they do well, and satifies my personal needs during the journey. Perhaps one of them can be an unmarried Señorita?
