For those that don't wanna read this because of the length, Bush is creating a second justice system that ignores about half the Bill of Rights and is completely and totally controlled by him.

The other branches of the government, in this system, have no jurisdiction whatsoever and because of this searches of houses and such can be conducted anywhere, so long as those doing the searching have a warrant from an organization under Bush's control.

The throwing out of the Bill of Rights and the searches without proper warrants and secret proceedings for all of the decisions made having to do with this only apply, however, to "enemy combatants".

Which is defined by Bush and Bush alone (and those around him), with no input required from either branch of the government.

But see, that's what's so scary about this. THEY are the ones who get to determine who is and is not a 'terrorist' or to use their term 'enemy-combatant'. This latest folly makes it so that they don't have to and never have to present ANY shred of ANY kind of evidence to anyone other than their own. If for some minor reason they consider YOU to be 'of interest' to their investigations, that's it. It's pretty much over for you and there is NO contesting it.

I agree Rose, we have probably lost more freedom in the last few months than in the past 200 years combined. It is sad indeed that history must repeat itself once again. That the masses of humanity are once again so apathetic to the plight of their fellow man as to not care one whit about what's going on right now. It's the same story that's been going on throughout history and is likely to continue for some time into the future. I greatly fear what will happen in the next six years to this country, but I can only hope that one day something good will come out of all of our suffering. In the meantime, all we can do is resist to the best of our ability and try to help each other out through this time of troubles. God save us all.

Not correct. We are the most free. Sure you murricans have your guns and stuff, but we can actually use them freely! I can kill a man cold blood, and most likely get out in few years. If I'm drunk, then less. That's freedom.
Honestly speaking it feels comfortign that what ever I do by mistake (not killing, but accidentally), I won't have to serve time.

Most Western nations are free, in some countries you can do things that in others you can't. On the whole people are free though.
