In all matters, our Spanish traditions and honor shall be followed. Should someone offend the honor of another, they shall settle the dispute in any mannor of their choosing.
If the dispute cannot be settled by the two, the dispute may be brought before me, however false accusations or paltry disputes will not sit well with me.
If there is a violation of our religious customs, burial rites, spiritual affairs, or suspicion of posession or blashpemy, our High Priest has FULL AUTHORITY to handle all such matters.
If there is a violation of the law of any city, the city's governor has FULL AUTHORITY to punish those who have broken the law in his city.
If there is suspicion of treason or actions in violation of my edicts, The Watcher has FULL AUTHORITY to handle any such individuals, and to fully investigate such matters. If evidence surfaces, The Watcher shall present such evidence to me and I will be the judge of the accused innocence or guilty. All who are found guilty of treason will be punished by a painful, creative, and public execution. Those who are found guilty of violations of my edicts may be subject to death or other lesser punishments.
This is the Word of Togas and it shall be done.

I, the Slave Master of the Great Spanish city, inform that I'm elaborating a detailed plan about how to improve the lands nearby the village of Madrid. I told my personal assistant to book a meeting with the Capital Governor Ninot, but he is not an slave but a free man, and left the office after the sunset. He promised me he will do the administrative work this morning. I'm sure that if he loves life he will do.
At this moment we don't know if the lands can be irrigated or not. So IF the lands can be irrigated then the slaves should irrigate them and later build a road. If they cannot be irrigated, then they should start immediately with the road.
My assistant died suddenly, so I'm looking for a new one to arrange a meeting with the Governor. I will put a more detailed plan after consulting with Ninot.

In accordance with the Word of Togas, I will begin training our young warriors. They will be trained in the rudimentary skills of attack and defense with the most powerful of weapons – the stone axe. Each warrior will be trained by myself or my sons, until they stand a fair chance of victory in open combat with their peers. That will be enough for now, but in the future I will be petitioning the Governor of Madrid, Señor Ninot, and the Chief Architect to devise and build lodgings for our warriors in training. Only once I have freed the warriors from having to walk to their homes every day, and kept them amongst their peers, will I be able to thoroughly train our forces to the point where they will vanquish any similar foe in combat.
To start, the volunteers identified by The Explorer's Guild will take first priority in training, followed by the first sons of every family of Spain. With the Family Edict issued by Lord Togas, no family should have a lack of sons to offer to the service of Spain.
Very shortly I will be clearing a Training Ground for the warrior training. I request the TEG volunteers to each make their appearance for training there within the next two days. The sons of Spain may come at any time, but remember that TEG recruits will take precedence for the meantime.
Lastly, I would thank our fearless leader, Señor Togas, for entrusting me with this position of responsibility. I shall serve with my whole spirit. I have already begun transferring the daily responsibilities of the Master Weapon Shop to my second eldest son, Dijon. My first eldest son, Poupon, will assist me with the warrior training, and accompany the TEG volunteers on their first expedition.

I hereby command that all members of this tribe shall choose a title and/or vacation by (December 7th). Your title and/or vocation can be anything from simple adventurer, drunk, explorer, merchant, tradesman, priest, prophet, chamber pot cleaner, ambassador, etc. Your title and/or vocation may change as your characters change or as the story around us changes.
These titles will be collected by Arnelos and put into the common thread. We may also make these titles public to the players in other teams. Furthermore, these titles give us something extra to roleplay.
This is the Word of Togas and it shall be done.

[OOC] I think this is the right thread to do it. If not please excuse me [/OOC]
I, Señor Oliverius Fernandez of the Fernandez family, Slave Master of the great Togas and the Spanish civilization, am anuncing the naming of my second in command.
From now on, and as long as our great leader agrees with it and doesn't need his services at another duties, I am naming Señor ruby_maser as my assistant. I also change the name of the position to Deputy Slave Master.
ruby_maser has showed an uncommon clear vision to predict how the slaves work will develop, he is well known for his studies about timing which have an amusing and very acurate precision. I am convinced that his skills will benefit the spanish public works to a degree not known before.

I, Oliverius Fernandez IV, Slave Master of Great Togas, Supreme Leader of the Spanish empire, proclaim what the orders for the slaves should be up to the year 3500 BC.
The slaves will go directly to the wheat lands after finishing their current work (using the just builded road to speed up the journey by 50 years) and irrigate them. We will provide more orders of what to do after this work is done.
I give this plan my official signature in Madrid, December 6th 3886 BC

My father has finally passed, and I have lived out a long and joyous life by his side. Let us all remember the passing of Togas the First. I have written many words about him in our Ceremonial Place. His body, once burned, will be kept here at Casa del Togas, and I, his first son, must also retire from public service.
My life is here in and amongst Madrid. However, for Spain to be successful, it must grow. We must become a nation of cities, not just one. The lands beyond us need to be explored and new places must be found for entirely new cities to occupy.
Therefore, I announce that the responsibility placed on me by my father will now be placed on another. My first and greatest son, Decedro Togas. He has trained with the warriors, walked the beached, climbed to the tallest hills and will soon take a small expedition with our chief architect to the highest peak of the Great Spanish Mountains to begin plans for a new city. A second Madrid. Somewhere beyond the hills in the rumored Valle de los Torros.
My son will soon assume full authority. For the next two months I will take him to meet all of you personally and allow him to confer with the wisest amongst us. He must speak with the Arnelos Family to see if he still wishes to have them as his Most Trusted Advisor. But he is a somewhat daring young man, with great spirit and courage. He may well choose an entirely new group of advisors.
[OOC] With the change in characters, I would like to ask all current advisors to PM me if you wish to retain your job, or seek a new one. Anything goes. If you want someone else's job, secretly let me know. We may have some interesting plots develop because of this.

I have stated my plans on the workers discussion thread, but just to make it easier and more clear for the person who is going to play the turns:
- After finishing the current work, then road the shielded grassland
- Then, DO NOT road the mountains, because it would take 9 turns which is too much at this moment and go directly to Pamplone to irrigate the cow. Since the cow itself cannot be irrigated now, irrigate first the grassland at SE of the cow, SW of Pamplona
- After the irrigation, road the cow.

Togas's 30 Turn Vision for Spain
Madrid: Grows to a larger size with the help of Temple to make it our production center, and to allow it to bounce back easily after making settlers or workers (no more dropping down to size 1).
The city will be responsible for TWO settlers and defenders in this time frame. It will settle sites 6 and then 8.
The city will also be responsible for providing at least 1 worker (hopefully many more) to connect Madrid and Barcelona, link up the silk, irrigate Barcelona, and then link to the new cities.
Pamplona: Our settler factory. This city is primarily to focus on REX, but Ruby_Maser's plan #2 looks excellent with the inclusion of a temple and at least 1 worker. This city must make THREE settlers and TWO defenders (Madrid volunteered one) to settle sites 2, 3, 9 in that order. It will also create a barracks, horsemen, and workers where queue space allows, but it's primary mission will be to get those three sites settled as soon as possible.
Barcelona: Needs to pull itself out of it's slow growth and will have to build it's own worker to speed along progress. Within 30 turns I want to see this city connected to Madrid and self sufficient enough to begin making boats. We will have mapmaking in less than 30 turns and Barcelona must be self-sufficient enough to move to sea-fareing. I would recommend a temple and harbor for this city, and I will leave the details to Astrologix to work out.
Saragossa: (#2) Dejon has volunteered to lead the expedition to this city and to run it. I need this city to act as a fronteer city and to build an extra defender, walls, barracks, and a temple (in no particular order). This city will also be counted on to contribute workers to the Cow Valley expansion cause once it's defenses are reasonably established.
Sites 3, 6, 8: Will all follow the "fronteer city" model and build for protection first, then build infrastructure.
Site 9: Needs to get us connected to those gems and possibly iron (depending on if we go for a "mass upgrade of warriors" strategy or a straight build swordsmen strategy).
Within THIRTY TURNS I expect us to have our border established, and all of our border cities building for defense. I expect that our road network will still be lacking and the goal at this point will be to focus more on infrastructure and horseman/swordsman production while a few settler factories continue to seed the south-west with cities, choosing high growth spots first.
This is the word of Togas and it shall be done.
