You know, after the story with NYE in Diss's game(Summary : He attacks, my troops flee even before they saw his attackers) I got very suspicious.

So neighbor players posting winking smileys after they do their turns is a bit... unsettling.

The game goes quite fast for a game with 6 human players. I dont want to imagine what would've happened if we werent using the time zones system.

Does anyone else have this problem with PBEM games:

Whenever I load a PBEM game (well...this PBEM game, since I'm not participitating in other games), my preferences are changed... it always turns that annoying color disc on (and proberly some other things too, but that one is the worst)

Has anyone else noticed this?

I think it may depend on the person who saved the game before you or the person who started the game, I'm not sure.

I know in the PTW democracy game sometimes the little green and blue marks on the terrain are there (they denote how much food and shields the land gives). I never have them on.

But I do like those annoying color discs under the units

In addition to other people's peculiar likes and dislikes being imported into your preferences setup, another thing to keep your eye on in PBEM games is the city governor. Lots of us use the governor as a matter of habit and will be in for a nasty revolting surprise in some of these games.

I employ governors only after i have enough cities that doing it myself is repetitive. at this point in the game, theres not much else to do.
