Concening deleted threads - I've come to realize that a lot of it depends on Ming's mood at the time...who knows, maybe he has a realative who is a paraplegic...

You're right! I had been doing it for awhile now - as these are the first threads I check - but I hadn't noticed the lack of the pop-up adds. Not sure why I didn't notice that - guess I deleted most of them without paying attention - other than of course - Jennifer and her friends and their web-cam.

Sory Jon. I was in a very lonnnnngggg chat with Trip and Calc from Lux. All good news. More on it later.

I ran across flash in the demo turn chat today. He asked me to ask you to delete him from the game entirely. I asked what was up - he said he is not playing civ3 anymore. And that was it. I asked him clearly if he wanted to be off the team permanently and he said yes.

We talked a bit about the pbem game I took over for him. I wished him well, told him to take care, etc.

Guess you can drop him from the team.

One of the small shields next to your name, the green and yellow one - says Nation States. What's that all about? I can't find any forum referring to it. Is it a SMAC game?

It's web game. It isnt' that big of a game. But you run your own country and you approve or disapprove of issues that come before you. Like taxes and such. There is now war, but some people role play that stuff.

OK. Let's see.

I can do them within the game without having to reload the game etc. It just involves minimizing the civ3 window and bringing up your graphics program.

First I center the world map on the area I want the shot of. I then hit the Print Screen button on the top of my keyboard (to the right of my F12 key on my keyboard). This will save the screen shot in windows memory.

Then to paste that screen shot I open a graphics program like Microsoft Paint which is pretty standard with most windows installs I'm sure. I then go to the edit menu at the top then use the drop down and go to paste. And whalaa! I then save the file as a bitmap. Microsoft Paint saves all files as bitmaps I think. So if you use this you will probably have to use something to convert files to a jpg to make it smaller to send via e-mail.

I also can use Adobe PhotoDeluxe to paste these files I noticed. PhotoDeluxe came pre-bundled with my printer I think. It is pre-bundled with other stuff as well like scanners. There I open up a new file by going to New and file on the drop down menu. Then I can go to edit then paste on the drop down menu. Then I can go to File and then go to Save As on the drop down menu to convert it to a jpg file to send.

Once you save it you can bring civ3 back up and reposition the screen and repeat the process.

That's pretty detailed, some of this you probably know how to do, but I like to be thorough .

A lot more than you think. Most of us Emperors got the titles back when OT posts counted. Since then, i'm sure there are at least couple thousand of my posts that simply didnt count and the same is true for most of the other OTers.
