	Vote for CtP Support Apolyton

A vote is currently taking place in the Alternate Civs forum.

The Civ serie is first followed by the CtP serie just before SMAC. MariOne has posted a Call to Arm in the Alpha Centauri forum asking all the SMAC players to vote for their favorite game.

Pedrunn and Maquiladora are already mustering the CtP2 troops since a few days so join with the CtP2 community and vote for CtP1.

The honor of our two communities is in the balance.

My original post was a kind of joke and I thought it could be funny to engage in this "for the fun only" race with the SMAC community.

Btw Martin, which mod or mods are you playing with Civilization : Call to Power?

I have reinstalled the game on my computer as I think I have not given it a fair chance when I tried it (it was a few weeks before CtP2 was released), I know that the game has some real differences with CtP2.

I have downloaded and installed the Celestial Mod 4.2 but the Apolyton Pack does not seem to work with my french version of the game.

No, actual my reply was a kind of joke, too. SMAC reminded me of a song of Prodigy: Smack My ***** Up. Unfortunatly my dictionary wasn't very clear about. It told me something like that smack could have to do with beating, but it didn't helped me really. Therefore I wrote "smaced" instaed of "smac(k)ed" like my original intention was. So I left it open wheather it does make sense or wheather it does not make sense.

Unfortunatly, I don't have time right now to play any computer game. I played my last CTP1 game before CTP2 came out. I only had Harlans Citymod and his new leader pics installed. And of course the hack patch you can download from Apolyton. You could try Apolyton Pack (I only dislike the color00.txt of this mod).

What I would play with CTP1 would be ApolytonPack with Nordicus' new trade goods and my new CityMod2 addon for CTP1 that you can find on my homepage and here in the creation forum somewhere. MedPack for CTP1 should also be a look worth, but I am rather a fan of the whole history of human beings and not only the Medieval period of Europe and I like also the future and the space.

Actual same advice here as in CTP2, the only diffrence is that you have to deal with the sceanrio file structure, actual a litte bit easier then dealing with ModSwapper. But you should make shure you have installed the hack patch that fixes some bugs concerning the scenario file structure.

In order to make ApolytonPack compartible with your French version just go into your ..\scenarios\Apolyton\ folder there you should find a folder called english. Just rename this folder to french and Apolyton Pack should run.

I supposed smaced had something to do with SMAC but I didn't knew the song from Prodigy...

This is exactly the reason why I would like to give CtP1 a new chance between some CtP2 games, a change of pace and goal will renew the interest of the two games.
