So if they don't get Sci Method in the next turn, they will lose all of the shields thay put into it...

I am going to hold my vote on this for a few days. I have been thinking that this would be perfect because we can WASTE the AIs production AS LONG AS they do not get Scientific Method. I want to review the save and stew on this for a day befor I vote.

Absolutely. All it would take is one GL by someone like say Greece. And since we have deliberately involved them and just about the entire world in the Great War, this has to be considered a destinct possibility.

Then I vote for using Mentuhotep to finish US and then plan the other wonders as Spiffor suggested in the prepoll.

IMHO chances are that we'll get at least two more GLs out of this war. With the Heroic Epic built, the chances for generating a GL when an elite unit wins an attack are 1/12, and 1/24 when an elite unit defends itself successfully. With so many battles in plan, I'd be surprised if we don't get at least two more GLs.

IMO, this Bill is premature and wrong. Valid options are still being discussed in the other thread. Also, I would like to see a real poll with options for some of the alternatives presented, not just a Yes/No on ONE option - what kind of poll is that? I will not vote on this Bill.

THe problem with that is the number of Elite Units that we have. We have 3 Elilte Cavalry, 2 Elite Knights and 1 Elite Swordsman.

In the last fight, we gained 1 Etile Cav, but also lost one. THese numbers as present don't give us vary good odds.

We've lost an elite in a defensive fight. Rest assured that we'll be attacking most of the time, and thanks to our artillery which will back us up in most battles, we will rarely lose units, especially elite ones.

HOW TO GENERATE MASSIVE GL's:

Take all available artillery and leave them on the railroad. Place all available Elite units with them. Don't hinder enemy units from getting adjacent to our railroad tile. (battles in enemy territory are fought by veteran units who join the Elite Brigade on the railroad after they get that rank)

Transport artillery next to enemy units and bombard them to one hitpoint. Transport Elite units and go "fishing" for GL's. (Once a unit generates a GL I then add in to an army)

This is my tactic and I havn't lost an Elite in this type of combat yet. I have had problems of being Elite heavy with approx 75% of my military being Elite and then sending some to the front because there were too many on the railroad.

I'm sorry I was a little hasty; now that I think about it, it could have waited, since there's no way another turnchat will be held before most of the gov. breaks for Christmas.

On the other hand, what other options? Spiffor has a good idea for alternative uses of our TFC shields, but his plan, too, calls for a rush of US. I have yet to see anyone present a third plan that would use him for an army/a different rush.

It's a bill poll. Bills are supposed to be yes/no.

I could have made a poll with more options, yes, but aside from an army (which is IMHO wasteful now that we have the Heroic Epic) or saving him (which I think would also be wasteful, since we can make more attempts once he's used), what options are there?

Voting yes, use him this turn on WS to maximize chances of additional GLs.

I trust that the shields built up for WS can be switched to something else without losing them by the Domestic Ministry.

I don't see wasting him on Wall Street since its something we can ALWAYS build. Taking Universal Sufferage now and denying the other civs the possibliity of saving those shields for another Wonder is the better option.
