Perhaps a little follow-up: the only options I can use without crashing are "Exit" and "About" although the last one sucks a little, too, as it shows no "close" field and the whole thing can only be terminated by calling the "Task Manager".
greetings

savexpnd "file1.xxx" "file2.xxx"
You have to enclose the file names in ""s!!!!
savexpnd file1.xxx file2.xxx won't work.

No, not yet. I think it might take longer than people think.

I downloaded the BIC fileformat as a reference only to find out that its completely different.
So does anyone have a reference to how the sav file format works ?!
|
Where did you download the .bix file format from?
Gramphos will figure out the file format eventually but I think it will take a while...

Regarding PTW saves it will just have to take a little longer. I still don't have PTW, and there are so many things I'm unsure of that I don't even want to try to make a version for editing what I know so far. |
I thought he said he got the .bix format (from where?) but wanted to know the structure of a saved game in PTW.

I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work on your program. It is by far the best that I have seen.
So Thank You very much and keep up the hard work.

So, please forgive this off-topic message, which is only here to make sure I am subscribed. Have a nice day. |

Hi all. I'm new to Apolyton but I have been working on a program to edit just the civilopedia. View the forum at CDG
I am making my way through the threads here at Apolyton and I can't seem to find anything about how to read .bic files into a program. My program will display the icons and requirement, etc , the same as the civilopedia in the game. I need to know if reading .bic files has been discussed before.
Also, this program is not meant as a threat to Gramphos' project. I started this before I knew about his program.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
* Edit *
I have found the thread which details the BIC format but i can't figure out how to read it. It looks really wierd in wordpad and winhex is no better. Also the file is not compressed. Thanks again

maybe you might want to release your source code.

I'll be lining in tents most of the time until April, and in the time I can only access my compuer, with Visual Basic on it in some weekends.
But It's average every second weekend, might be shorter some times, and longer some other times. |
