i really regret to inform you all that we are screwed

about half my units would not move and the game bombed again on the save command

let's sleep on it, but, while the players performed admirably, IMO, the software did not

my gut hunch is that this is a startover. Alexman will have to start with one less city than the rest of us to be "fair"

Darn. This is a pretty crazy bug, if you ask me (especially considering that everything is ok for jshelr in game 3).

I have no problems with starting over, considering our pace. Plus, my little secret is actually pretty boring.

Seriously, the game was kind of spoiled even before the bug, if you ask me. Should be have someone look at the new map (like game 3) before we start another? I think so.

Since we're going to restart anyway, I have to report, that I was doomed anyway. Although I have Iron Working, some warriors to upgrade and a barracks in every city, I have no iron , while alexman has plenty of it. The little bit my explorer has discovered, revealed already 2 iron deposits NW of Aesonborg, while I have nada.

I believe we have a case of great minds thinking alike. We can probably benefit from someone looking at the map, and it would certainly be a good idea to get the rest of our canadian contingent onto the same land mass to help me deal with you two next go around.

I just opened a thread for the AAR of this game.

Perhaps one of the guys in game 3 will check the map for us. I'll post there. Basically all we need is for someone to look at the generated map and reject it if it's unbalanced. It shouldn't take more than 3-4 tries.
