Since the PBEM engine sucks, IMO we should report the enemy how many units of each type were killed every turn.

Jshelr disagrees, but IMO, if I had continued on as a warmonger with the forces Delmar left me the game was over at that point. Its a weakness in my game(play) that I find the warfare aspect of civ to be boring.
