PO'ed at my university? Hardly. Damned proud of it for standing up for affirmative action.

The only people who benefit from welfare payments are the poor. This is clearly discrimination against the rich so we must get rid of the welfare system.

Lowering standards does'nt help anyone.
AA should be about giving more schooling/aid so those who can make the grade, don't fail due to financial means or to the poor schooling they recieved as a
child.
AA should level, not slant

that's a good one!

Btw, those accented, muskrat eating, gun toting, putting black folks in their place happen to be all over the place. They are usually called rednecks. Southern rural folks are a bit different and it usually manifests itself in the food. Unless you on the Eastern shores of Maryland ate fried chicken and collard greens every night . |
Fried Chicken and collard greens are consumed on the ESoMD in huge quantities. I challenge you to find any substantial difference between rural folk in Alabama and those on the ESoMD. Having lived in TN, AL, and MD, I can assure that there isn't much difference. Certainly no greater than differences that exist between Tennesseans, Mississippeans, Texans, Alabamans, etc.
Did I mention that they are south of the Mason-Dixon yet? Oh yeah...

Ooh, hark at her, I go to sleep and then have the audacity to go to work before replying and Cal goes all "Mr. Fun" on me (That's when you re-quote your own posts to get a response. Needlessly desperate).
Anyway, to give an actual response, if it is said that the greatest beneficiaries of AA are women, then given that it uses gender to identify this group, we can say that the AA is based around gender; thus, white women are more likely, populationwise the greatest beneficiaries. Black women probably do have a double advantage at employers who use AA. But people who go for jobs are far more likely to be stiffed through AA in favour of women than blacks... although it's clear you'd much rather whine about perceived racial discrimination
Obviously I can't give you any figures for anything, but it's quite clear that saying no white people benefit from AA is a load of tosh.
