I agree wholeheartedly. We're tougher than most because of it, but that's little consolation when you have a frostbitten face...

The blue skies do get kind of boring after a while. You should see the way people act around here to just the slightest little bit of drizzle. They scurry around like the rain is going to melt them or something.

Well, about 4F.

But the difference gets greater the colder it gets...and it's a good habit to be into to specify F and C.

I find it pretty useless unless you're talking about positive temperatures (and only low positive temps if you're using Fahrenheit). The negative temps aren't that different and it's pretty easy to tell that 79 degrees isn't in Celcius.

Degrees F = (Degrees C*1.8)+32.

32 degrees F = 0 degrees C
14 degrees F = -10 degrees C
0 degrees F = -17.8 degrees C
-20.2 degrees F = -29 degrees C
-29 degrees F = -33.9 degrees C
-40 degrees F = -40 degrees C
-70 degrees F = -56.7 degrees C
-94 degrees F = -70 degrees C

I thought they were closer than that, Mad Monk. I guess I stand corrected.

What the hell was I thinking of? Negative Celcius and Kelvin? I swear I remember some scales being equal below zero...

There's a big goddamn difference between -20F and -20C. -20C is pretty chilly, -20F will freeze my nose off if I'm outside for more than a minute.

'Course, -20K is even worse, aside from being impossible to achieve and all that jazz...

-20K would be really really cold. Wouldnt you need to have negative volume to achieve something like that?
