This thread will be used for important announcements by government officials.

Not for regular discussions/spam. Links to seperate threads should be provided if a need for discussion is anticipated. The kind of thread people would subscribe to (in combination with the Court History thread) if they can't visit the forum daily and want to be alerted if something worthwhile happens.
To be used for:
- announcing dates for turn chats (including link to discussion thread)
- listing resolutions passed? (now happens in Court History)
- announcing the opening of nominations for elections?
- announcing the appointment of delegates
- announcing absence, resignation, etc
- linking to very important polls/threads that everyone must read/know about (i.e. should we go to war?)
- posting results of single actions by Prez (as opposed to full turn chats) (i.e. result of recent map exchange attempt) (including link to discussion thread)
- posting important generic info/announcements (example: leave IW's barely recovered unconstitutional diplo poll alone)

If something unexpected happens and i dont show up in a scheduled chat or in case my last post in Apolyton is dated 72 hours week days old (3 whole days not counting saturday and sunday)...
...I want to name in order of presence to be my delegate if accepted of course the following citizens:
1- Mapfi
2- Gilgamesh
3- Locutus
4- Iskallin
5- Immortal Wombat
6- Devil of Truth.
7- Turambar
And therefore held my powers during my absence 
Locutus (Minister of Diplomacy, Science and Trade)
My delegate will have all powers I have as Minister of Diplomacy, Science and Trade:
* during turnchats where I myself am absent;
* during periods of announced absense;
* during periods of unannounced absence longer than 36 hours.
If none of these situations occur, my delegate will not have any ministerial powers on the areas of my position.
I don't expect to be absent a lot so probably this function wouldn't involve an awful lot of work (if any at all).
There are several posters who I feel could be suitable delegates, so it was a tough choice but I've decided to ask mapfi for this position, and he accepted. His diplomatic ideas seem fairly similar to mine and he was the one who found out about Pedrunn's screw up in the map exchange.
Maquiladora (Minister of Defense)
Okay on the off chance im not here for a day or two (not very likely) or cant make a turn chat (more likely) ive asked Turambar to be my delegate and he kindly agreed. I think we had pretty similar policies near the end and the election was pretty close, so he makes an excellent replacement.
