No, it was definitely in Europe. And the reason I remember is that the Israeli agents were using Canadian passports to hide their identities. Needless to say, my government wasn't amused!

Let's teach 'em a lesson on reapolitik.

How about we not try to antagonize other countries, mkay? That's why the rest of the world doesn't like the US. Maybe, if we made diplomatic concessions, played the role of the good guy; then the rest of the world would agree with us whole-heartedly and support the idea that these regimes are bad and needs to go. Right now, nobody agrees with Bush because he's in a pissing contest with everybody he doesn't like. But if we stop these shenanigans, then the "Axis" countries will either follow suit, or continue to be bad, in which case the whole world will hate them instead of us.

so the french and russians were gung ho to take out saddam when Clinton was in office???? When they pulled the plug on Butler and UNSCOM for being too tough, and set up Blix and Unmovic to go easier on Saddam?? When they thought it was no problem when UNMOVIC was forced out of Iraq??

No, this isnt about dubya. DOesnt matter who the american president is, or what his stance on Kyoto is. Its about national interest, and some nations seeing an interest in limiting american power - and its about American power - not american behvior (kinda like in Civ 2 when they dont like you cause youre supreme, does matter what you rep is)

Siro, if I were an Iraqi freedom fighter, I would move quickly if I lived in an Axis of Weasel country. You can bet your bottom dollar that Weasel governments will soon join Saddam in suppressing the forces of freedom and democracy. After all, they know that by aiding Saddam against the US and the freedom fighters that he will give them favorable oil concessions.

If you are serious, I'd advise you to get a serious reality check.
Germany will not hurt Iraqi freedom fighters, for their stance is mainly due to the radical German pacifism (which fuels Shröders' position, as he doesn't want to lose the last bit of credibility he still has), and killing freedom fighters juts messes with this picture.
France made it clear the regime of Saddam has to be dismantled. The disagreement between France and US comes from the way to do it. Plus, Chirac being a great demaguogue would flaunt it if we protect any freedom fighters from Iraqi secret agents.

You seem to imagine that disagreeing with the US means the "Axis of Weasels" favor Saddam's regime, and will support/follow it against the will of the US. Again, you need to pause your wild speculations, and think a bit. I trust you'll laugh at the above quote after mere seconds of questioning it

Well, if all the evidence Powell presented today doesn't convince the idiots in the UN of what was obvious months beforehand, then the United States should withdraw from it because it would be totally hopeless.

Oh, Saddam? Hope you've got plenty of lipbalm stocked up, because you're going to be kissing your ass goodbye very soon.

Actually, and I hate to say this, but it really isn't Hussein's fault.

Consider this analogy:

Hussein is just like an immature child, spitting on his brother and taking away toys.
The parent, in this case the U.N., says, "Now, now Saddam. Play nice. Here are the rules you must follow".
Saddam promptly spits on his parent.
The parent takes out a towel, wipes off the spittle, and says, "Now, now, Saddam. This is the last time I tell you".
Saddam replies, by spitting on his parent.
The parent says, "Now, now, Saddam..." .

So far, what we have remaining is a still-rebellious child, and a piss-poor excuse for a parent.
To go even further, those that are busy flying a United Nations flag here, might consider just using a White Flag of surrender. Less dye used, so cheaper, and essentially, up to and including today, means the same thing.

Powell has showed today that military action is neccessary to achieve the goals of the UN itself. Most of the speakers at the UN keep saying that they want any action taken to be taken with the authority of the UN. That is entirely up to the UN itself. The fact is, and you can now be sure of this, that the US will invade Iraq. If the UN wants the action to be taken with the authority of itself then it better get onboard quick. Their insistance to be obtuse is what is undermining their own authority.

The axis of weasel (No "s" at the end, get it right!) is lead by France, which has MAJOR ties to Saddam, and stands to lose big if he goes, as they kissed up to him for a dozen years.

It's interesting that they are the most opposed to his removal...

Again - this is not about WMD's - that case just doesn't make sense. What does make sense is that the Bush administration wants to exercise control over Iraq real bad. Why, I'm not quite sure. Geostrategic gains is my best guess.

As for Blair, he's become a liability to the British people and a traitor to his own party and his own people. Get rid, I say. Guy Fawkes, where are you now when your country needs you?

As for Bush and his fellow chickenhawks - Lee Oswald, where are you now when your country needs you?

Perhaps there is another reason:
