If we go for blue, there's a light blue color that's even more pale blue than the American/Chinese blue. It's the color the Spanish use if the Americans or Chinese have already taken the light blue color.

Personally, I think that secondary Spanish blue is a better color for a Hellenic Blue, but that may just be me.

The capital might be called Apolytonia, Apolytopolis, etc.
but I hope we all agree the civ should just be Apolyton.

We need to finalize these for the game start. Based on Arnelos' first suggestion and comments after that, I have:


Civ Name: Apolyton
Noun: Apolytonians
Adjective: Apolytonian
Leader Name: Markos
Leader Title: Emperor
Civ Color: Light Blue

I like Apolytonians and not Apolytons. Unless we want to call our civ the Apolyton Empire. In which case Apolytons would make sense. And the adjective would be Apolyton. I will run a quick poll, given the seriousness of this matter.

Not that I think it would matter... but when did we decide on civ color?

I count: (certainly may have missed some)

4 1/2 for various light blues
1 1/2 for bab blue
2 for orange

which doesn't seem like much of the population's opinions have been expressed...

Myself I’m not fond of baby blue (American/Spanish blue). I would prefer a darker and more vibrant blue if we have to be blue. Where can I find the available colours?

Look in the editor. Scenario->Custom Rules, then Rules->Edit->Civilizations. All the available colors are shown in the dropdown boxes.

I still say American blue. It seems to fit our 'personality', from what I can tell.

Anyways, how will we decide city names? Will people pick like before?

The process was rather chaotic at the beginning for the C3SPDG after a not completely explained system wasn't really used all that much.

I'd rather go with the lighter color of blue than the one used by the Americans.

I'd rather use the light blue used by the Spanish as their secondary color (if China or America has already taken the color in the same game).

I have no problem with orange, though.

Numid's golden helms clash with powder blue (almost as much as with light pink). Again, if only I could attach screenshots!
