If I were to do that in ANY OTHER THREAD, I would get flamed heavily for it. People would get annoyed. They would get the urge to torch the Russian flag. Some may even go so far as to hate Russia and the Russian people for it. Because I'm not just being patriotic: I'm being arrogent.

Arrogence makes people angry. Angry people tend to want to destroy what makes them angry. Hence patriotism, in overdosage, is really not healthy for anyone.

Americans tend to do it a lot because ignorant people tend to become arrogent. I've had more than enough people try to tell me America is "Number 1" and that "You dont even have a country left! Were the best nation that ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN!". That annoys me. That annoys others.
