Couple of things, first off I want to explain what is PROBOABLY one of the top 5 gaming moments I have ever had......it was in Generals...
Im new to playing it online and I was trying a new strategy(I always play the U.S.). I made the most HEIGHNOUS defenses imaginable while my enemy(1v1) took most of the map. I had stam sites 3 tiers thick surrounding my entire base in a circle, wave, after wave, after wave of attacks from air and land(even patriots...they got knocked out) were mutilated.
Eventually we both just statred building TONS of ion cannons(big beam comes from the sky, toasts stuff) and tried to fry each other........we kept trying to knock out each others ions for almost 2 hours.....meanwhile I developed a rather clever plan.
All the while I was making HOARDES AND HOARDES of rangers-which he obviously saw(prison camps let you see the whole map, and we both had several) and kept laughing at me.....
After all, what would rangers do?
I had 80 rangers, I then made 9 transport copters and 16 chinakees(sp? attack copters) he continued to laugh at me, as he LITERALY had the whole map, though it was sparsely defended, he had HOARDES of tanks(hundreds) outside of the entrances to my base waiting-as they couldnt get past my defences.
At this point it had been a stalemate for over FOUR HOURS.........we kept ion'ing each other, we'd rebuilt quickly, he'd send hoardes of troops, my sam's would knock em down....
What followed was something out of a delta force movie....
In a feat of micromanaging I QUICKLY spread out every transport(covered by 2 attack copters) to his 8 main bases, dropped my rangers and........
In about 20 seconds my rangers ran in and captured EVERY power station, ion beam cannon on the ENTIRE MAP: Suddenly his HOARDES of ion cannons(almost all of which were at "ready to launch", he was waiting to make more) and electricity were mine.......
No electricity = no base defenses, so what little scattered sams he had were gone...
LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!
My scattered attack copters began to eat anything I hadent captured and in true movie fashion I wiped out ALL of his troops with the ion cannons, all the while he is going )(!#^)(#!^(*!#(*^#!
That was one of the best gaming moments I have ever had heh, COMPLETE turn around came off so damn well heh.
If you read this far, here is the second point
Suddenly I felt a huge surge of patriotic pride, thinking of surgigal strikes the U.S. has done in the past, almost all of which were overwhelmingly succesfull(I only lost 4 rangers in the whole thing....1 attack copter)-it seems like latley it is "offensive" or just "distastefull" to be patriotic if your American....
Im sick of you damn euro's criticizing us-it seems ALL you can do is find fault with America-if you dont like us cut off trade and invade if not-shut up.
And all those idiots in our country who do NOTHING but complain, they never try to work in the system, they just moan-and if your patriotic they bash you for it:

i dont like patriotism where "if you dont agree with X policy" you are unamerican and unpatriotic. sometimes i wonder if those type of people would love to live in a facsist regime.

That isnt what im saying, that is bad......part of our great country is a democracy and everyones voice should be heard-however it seems that in real life being patriotic is discouraged because we are "multicultural" and loving america is "disatastefull/politically incorect".

If you believe this you are insane....this isnt a forced army-no one is currently in the American army who dosent want to be there-there is no draft, there is no compulsary service-your there because you want to be.......There is no morale problem and if you believe bin laden's propoganda you are an idiot.
