That's because he is being sarcastic. An official representative posted this bit of info over at the RoN Heaven boards:

Hey guys!
I just checked with our Web team at MS and they have NOT sent out emails to the winners yet. They are hoping to do so by tomorrow. If you got an email today saying that you won in the official contest, it's probably not true.

Keep in mind that some fan sites have been running contests, and the email that some folks have received may be from those good folks.

Hmmm... The front page or www.riseofnations.com says that the site has been updated today, so I thought they have sent out the e-mails, yet the beta information page still says the same thing - "we will chosee 1000 winning entries, blah, blah, blah..."

EDIT: I'd post the e-mail, but Anun Ik Oba's posted the drift of it -- one or two other little paragraphs, but nothing interesting. Microsoft's made a skill out of saying NOTHING of any meaning in their communications with this beta so far .

Don't want to post it here, since it's my personal address (and I'd rather avoid getting more spam than I need to), but the first two letters are ad, and my (first) name also begins with an ad, so if they're going alphabetically, I'dve probably been on the early side of things.
