It is the year 1900, and the world is ruled from Europe. The European Empires span the globe, greatest among them all the mighty and world-spanning British Empire.
-But this is all to change.
To compete with the old imperial powers, new ones are rising to the limelight. To the West sits the United States, riding on a rocketing economy and holding quiet ambitions for future prosperity. In Europe sits an aggressive and advanced Germany and to the East lie the brooding masses of Russia and imperialistic Japan.
In the coming century, all of these powers, new and old, will be thrown against each other and only one may truly rise to prominence over the stretch of time.
It is a global and silent war. The old fighting the new and all who are capable exploiting the weak and the helpless.
Let the Century of War commence!
At long last the scenario is complete and will shortly be zipped and transferred to webspace for general downloading and playing.
1900: The Century of War.
The size and scope of this scenario is somewhat ambitious, to say the least. Initiating in the year 1900 at the height of the last great European Empires, it tracks through 300 turns of play up until the year 2050, and the player may watch and participate in the fall of the old empires and the building of the new powers on the world stage. -Or possibly they may play as the 'old empires' themselves.
This scenario includes:
The 180x180 world map by Kal_el, who deserves a big thumbs-up for it's creation.
24 factions exist, including 11 playable factions, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Playable factions include:
Britain and the British Empire.
The United States of America.
Germany.
France.
Italy.
Austria-Hungary.
The 'Balkan States'.
The Ottoman Empire.
Russia.
China.
Japan.
Nonplayable factions include:
Spain.
'Independant' Canada.
'Independant' India.
Scandinavia.
Central America.
Brazil.
Argentina.
Indonesia.
Arabia.
North Africa.
West Africa.
Central Africa.
Korea.
Also included are two new forms of government:
-Fascism.
-The Corporate Republic.
A new building type is included; the 'Forced Labour Camp', heightening industrial output for communist governments at the expense of culture and happiness.
44 new units, incorporating individual infantry, tank, modern armour and air units for most major factions, individual naval, artillery & special units and more! Inclusive among these are the World War 2 units & animations included in Play The World and, in addition, virtually every 'normal' unit has been modified.
This scenario is for Play The World only!
The finished scenario will be placed onto webspace ready for download at some point today.

Your website doesn't work because you have exceded your allocated data transfer. Any chance you could break it up into a few files (winzip will do this automatically) and then post them here?

You are right in a sense, but Modern Armour requires a considerable research outlay before you can get it. In addition to this, infantry gets ages and ages to consolidate as the backbone of most armies, so to make tanks and modern armour too expensive would hinder the transformation of world militaries as they move forwards in technology.
Even so, good point.

Very nice scenario, especally cause it isn't as huge as other scenarios, so its loading times are still acceptable.
To bad I am getting a loading error as soon as the italians start producing tanks.
