i spend over half an hour today checking up files and banning 3 people for illegal files. you know, i'd like it better to be out in the greek sun enjoying my coffee.....

But do you own the rights to redistribute, make copies, or transfer the file from the song? If it is just a CD you own, then you have no rights other than simply playing that disc. So then it is not legal to post it here (or at least not in the U.S. where I believe ACS has a server).

The upload feature is ready-made for abuse. 20MBs is a lot to offer someone when all they have to do is register at the site. Perhaps it should be available to people who only have x number of posts, so Chieftains and above.

unfortunately with new releases (like moo3 now) there are many legitimate cases of settlers and chieftains who will need the feature

Hah! What a nice policy. Banning people for DG files is like banning someone for posting pro Macedonian (that Macdeonia you want to call FYROM) material as the public rules, if interpeted with a common sense, say it's allowed, but you still don't accept it. Whatever... not my site, but don't wonder if people leave it.

Oh, and just reminding that when you opened the Upload service, it was seen at that time as an option for placing DG files, but none the less no one was at that time warned it would be forbidden. Now where's the warning then, if it's despite previous statements forbidden?

If I haven't undertstood wrong, DG files is legal. It's related to the games covered, and therefore legal to upload. Kassiopeia just asked a question you know...
