Will there be a run-off if there's no title that recieves more than 50% of the vote?

If the total of "jungle Gazette" type votes is over 50% I don't think we'll need a new vote |
Uh...OK...
My question still stands as it was not answered.

Since the historical Carthage is infamous for having their city salted by the Romans I would cast a write in vote for the Daily Salt.

Yes I did. This is MY poll, not some official garbage of a poll. I could have just named the thing and went on, but this is more fun.
The answer is that if the poll ends up close, I will make a runoff between the top two names, especially more so if those two are one with a 'jungle' name and one without. |
My original question was "Will there be a run-off if there's no title that recieves more than 50% of the vote?"
So are you just a jerk or do you not realize that this is a yes or no question? It may be your poll, but it is our paper; so my question is valid one.
I do not need your attitude about what you feel you can and cannot do and whose permission you need to do it. This is a 'team' effort and you are no greater than anyone else. Why would you call an official poll a 'garbage poll'?

You could always start up a rival paper.

Well, this isn't true. This is the UnOrthOdOx's paper. He's founding his own paper. Free press, not the Pravda. He's open for contributions, as he did in the original Jungle Gazette, but he's the owner, the administrator, publisher and editor. One of the best I've worked in my 30 years in this job. I'm not kidding...
Thanks, UnorthO!
bigfree, you can (as suggested) open your own business... Our government is Despotism, but this is a free country.

Maybe using the word 'jerk' was harsh.
But when I asked a simple yes or no question and I didn't get a yes or no answer I don't feel that the question was answered adequately. So I repeated the question.
Nobody had to answer either question, but since an attempt was made and it was then followed by his apparent snide remarks saying "Yes I did....."(saying that he had answered my question) when in fact the question was not directly answered. This is an insult to me. He's saying that he did answer my question but for whatever reason I'm not capable of understanding it. It may have been a sufficient answer in his or others opinions, but it gives no cause for him to be rude towards me for it. And the remark about 'garbage polls' got me ticked off as well; how did that apply to my question!?
I felt that he was the one to get 'smart' first; then I returned the shot. I'm not one to back down from something when I feel that I've been slighted. I hope most of the people in here feel the same way if someone were to insult them.
It might be him writing the paper but it is going to include items that were posted in this private forum about our team. So to say he can do whatever he feels like seems a little boorish to me.
Unorthodox; I do, however, apologize for calling you a jerk.
I will not comment further on this.
